Rumor: Eight Days and Getaway 3 revived in November?

It's been over two years since we've heard anything about Eight Days and The Getaway 3. We just saw a video of them way back when the PS3 was trying to find its legs. It seems the website LusoPlay has stumbled upon some information about the games, however, and it may or may not be true we'll see some information on both in the coming month.

Says a poorly translated LusoPlay: "We know that the month of November will be the month of all revelations, and even prepared a small event for these two games." So if Sony has prepared a small event, we should be hearing something pretty soon, right? As far as we know, there's nothing planned in November besides the Great Influx of Games (GIG for those with an acronym fetish). Still, we don't know everything. We'll file this under the big ol' rumor section for now.

1. Would be cool to hear something. I doubt they've been canceled because Sony would have said something by now. I'm not much of a GTA/Getaway person, but 8 Days looked interesting. Hopefully it's still on track, and Sony just wanted to decide carefully which of their big titles got all the attention this holiday. Things were getting crowded so it makes sense to push some of the big boys back so everyone can breathe.

2. i wouldn't care, nor be surprised if the graphics on the eight days trailer arent as good as they will be in the final game, i'll be happy as long as the motions are as smooth as they are on the trailer.

3. Yeah I agree @ 1 some games have already decided to come out after the holidays to avoid the cluster of trying to compete with all the holiday games like ARMY of Two I kinda liked Eight Days I hope we do hear from them soon

4. for those who haven't followed the PS3 since its inception. At the E3 where sony first showed their black behemoth, they demoed the 'cell' rendering on its own, without the help of the RSX, in one of the graphics demos, they showed a petrol station blowing up in realtime with every object relating to the petrol station being blown apart. Phil Harrison stated it was from a currently unannounced title, it was however from 'eight days'. If you find the vid on the net, you'll get a good idea of what the game will look like realtime.

I'll just say it looked pretty damn good at that early stage.

5. "it may or may not be true" - are there ever any other possible outcomes when it comes to rumours? lol.

@3 Byron
i totally agree with you about the graphics/gameplay. i'll take the smooth gameplay over nitpicking about having it match the preview video any day. if the game is as close to the concept as MotorStorm and Killzone2 are, then i'm down!

6. I knew it. Considering how big London Studios is and they have only officially been working on Home and Singstar I have a feeling these games are still around.

7. @solace: you looked at the wrong name...

8. I really like Eight Day's trailer and I really hope they bring it back and live up to what they showed at E3 05.

...did someone just mention EIGHT DAYS??!!...

pleasepleaseplease let THIS rumor be true! It was one out of six games that I bought a PS3 to play... if it comes out, regardless of the reviews - which will be bad considering it isn't on the 'box - I will buy it day one! pleasepleaseplease let THIS rumor be true!
