Metal Gear Solid 4 to appear at E for All

E for All increasingly seemed like a joke. Microsoft and Sony, in addition to a number of other high-profile third party publishers have opted out of attending this new consumer game show. However, Konami will be attending the show and one of the games they have scheduled to appear is Metal Gear Solid 4. How it will be shown is still unclear. It could be on video, or it could be playable. If a playable MGS4 is present at the games show, it might almost be worth attending the show. Almost.

3. @1

Are you serious. Not to sound rude but I doubt there will be any worthwile news coming their regarding PS3.

4. I'll be there. . .

Any gaming convention is bound to be fun, and even E for All, despite its low attendence is still shaping up to be a good few days, especially for a fledgling convention.

Hopefully next year a few more come too, but I'd say with Nintendo, EA, Konami, and THQ as the makes publishers being there more than makes up for it for a new convention.

6. Didn't Ryan Paytton say they weren't going to show any new trailers. They'll probably just have demo units, maybe English ones though...

9. Ooo...Nintendo being there could possibly mean a demo for Brawl.

Konami confirming MGS4 at the show, hopefully as a demo...

Yup. I'm glad I'm going.

11. Wow, there are a whopping 2 titles to be shown at E for All.

I really hope they can make this more than another ubernerd gathering like Comicon.

Posted at 10:42AM on Oct 9th 2007 by Popfrogs

12. Lol, I also thought it meant that MGS4 was rated E.

Who didn't think that E for All was a stupid idea? If you're the leading electronics convention, hell, one of the leading conventions period, you don't scale back like this!! We all watched them commit suicide.

13. I too had to read it twice to make sure that MGS4 was really rated E....lol

14. Nintendo has already announced that Brawl and Mario Galaxy will be playable. So while PS3 pickins are small besides MGS4, Wii pickins are great. There's even going to be Brawl tournaments all day. I'm excited, though I can't attend.

15. How long are they going to drip-feed this one game? What would be best is a downloadable demo, a-la Gran Turismo HD concept. Even better, one featuring online play. This would give people, as that did, a taste of things to come that you just can't find anywhere else.
