New Guitar Hero 3 track showed off in Edinburgh

At the Guitar Hero III screening at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival today a previously unannounced song was played to the crowd. "She Bangs the Drums" by the Stone Roses is the newest in a long list of excellent tracks featured in the game. According to NME, a very popular music magazine in the UK, the album that "She Bangs the Drums" hails from is consistently voted the number one British album ever.

We're loving the track list for Guitar Hero 3 so far. There's a nice mix of eighties, geek rock and cult classics. All we need now are some decent British indie rock tunes. Click through for the known track list for the game.

Being a Stone Roses fan this puts something in Activision's court over Rock Band.

2. Hmm... Not sure if I'd be able to skip Rock Band even if I got to choose my own songs for GH3.

8. OK first of all metallica's songs cant and couldnt get on any of the guitar hero games because they wouldnt let harmonix take any of their songs for the project (I know it's really gay)

2nd of all I badly want to get this song on guitar hero 3 it's called "Heavy" by "Collective Soul" and it is a very good song that would work good with the game

follow this link to see it

(you need an IMEEM to hear this)

P.S. The version of this song is the remix version it was used in NHL 2001 as the intro song to the game if you can remember that far back

9. Actually, they DID get Metallica on the game and "One" is the song chosen. I don't know for sure if its a master track or a cover song, but I do know that the song IS on the game.
