European PS3 owners give Sony important feedback

ThreeSpeech recently asked European PS3 owners how they Sony did for their recent March launch, asking if there were any surprises, good or bad, what gamers liked and didn't like about the system, and finally inquiring if they would recommend the system to friends. So far, over 130 comments have been posted and most responses are similar to what we've already heard over here. We want games! Comments suggest the PlayStation Store needs additional content and more frequent updates. While impressions of Motorstorm and Resistance are very positive, it seems everyone is still clamoring for a system-killer title. Lair, Heavenly Sword and Ninja Gaiden seem to be on many European PS3 wish lists, as well as the Sony online community Home.

Although currently, North American PS3 owners are receiving almost weekly updates to the PlayStation Store, it wasn't until late February that the updates started to pick up. So perhaps in a few weeks, three months after the European launch to be exact, content will start to arrive at a more steady and constant pace. And as for that one game, destined to sell PS3 systems along with it, be patient. As recent impressions from the Sony Gamer's Day imply, we may soon have more than just one system-killer title to choose from.

1. Yeh, I completely agree, this week, we only got a Spiderman 3 trailer and Calling all Cars trailer, no Calling all Cars yet for us, or even any PS1 games

2. Nothing is stopping the Euros from creating a US store account and purchasing/downloading that way right? People in the US created Hong Kong accounts to get Tekken early and managed to pay for it.

The problem here is that Europe has 814 languages while the US has 2 and the individual Asian territories are either Chinese, English (HK), or Japanese.

3. Just keep in English or any of the other major languages like Dutch, French , Spanish...

4. "The problem here is that Europe has 814 languages."

Sony (PlayStation) doesn't deal with 814 languages worldwide!

If we sort out intergalactic travel and the universe is teeming with intelligent life and we go several thousand years into the future, then Sony might be dealing with 814 Languages.

It's not that hard for a multinational like Sony to observe a few specific laws and Translate some text.
They're dragging their heels.

5. Didn't Sony also fire some people who were working for the European Sony. I'm assuming they dealt with keeping the PS store up to par. But now there fired.

Just create a canadian PS3 account. Same as the american but better.

Perhaps I'm not down on the lingo..but do we really want a 'system-killer' title for the PS3? Seems to me the current crop of largely poor games is doing plenty to kill this system. Maybe you meant "killer app" or "system seller"?
