6. I've only done 2 WU. I am know is for the good of others and all that, but I feel that I am waisting electricity, and working the processor. that and the fact that it takes like more than 5hr to complete a WU.
maybe if you guys tell me some positive stats on power consumption and the kind of strain put on my PS3, I might do it more often.
Also, wouldn't a little reward system help??? I know is wrong to want something in return and all that, but a simple high ress. picture of Uncharted after completing a WU would most likely help out some people jump on the [email protected] bandwagon.
and if we were throw in a buck after a certain amount of WU, then we are really talking... am I alone here with this? is it wrong? I mean come on, doctors charge us for our miss fortunes, and scientist get paid for making medical studies.
I remember reading some sort of news about a reward system before. I hope they make it happen.

9. I'm sitting at #22 right now. Between Gamefly and Netflix my PS3 has been doing more of that stuff it was meant to do, plus I've been lazy and kicking it at home more often using the ps3, but I'm still up over the 100 wu mark!
And for thatpspkid, check this post:

Last comment on the page has some info I put together about power usage and pollution. Whether it's positive or not depends on your outlook I guess. When it comes to wear on the ps3, I doubt Sony would put the program out there if they thought it would result in failures. Think about that PR fiasco; Sony's had enough of those already.
As for rewards, I think that was in reference to commercial projects that were mentioned; although, it would be cool to get some money for buying stuff in HOME or the PSN from folding, or any other computing projects we ps3 owners may end up doing.

13. First of all, hilarious graphic.
But doesn't that thing start at Sunday, at 8 pm? And I'm on the west coast, so wouldn't I have to start at 5 pm?
I just... can't... do it.
If it started at 11, I could turn off old black an' shiny to do some foldin, but at 8, on a weekend, even before a Monday, I'm PLAYIN' her! No folding at 8 am, for this homeboy.
I suppose it would help if I would buy a wireless router, then I could fold every night. As it is, I only access web on ps3 when I unplug the cable from my computer.
And since Sony hasn't issued those cards yet, I'm not BUYING anything off the ps network, so I don't hook 'er up all that often...

17. @13 what's so hilarious about the graphic. This is an official certificate from Stanford. Everyone gets one for Folding and they can be viewed at the Stanford Folding site.
@the whole team
Sorry to say but this team is pretty sad. My total work units (941) is 1/10 of your total and I am in no way a hardcore folder. There are single users that crank out more units than this whole team in a single day.
On the other hand it's always good to have more people Folding.
