RUMOR: Dead or Alive and Disgaea coming to PS3?

Leave it to EGM's rumor mill to churn out a tasty new rumor. It's rumored that an XBox staple, Dead or Alive, might be making its fifth iteration exclusively on the Sony gigantor bot -- the PlayStation 3. Actually, that's not entirely true. Team Ninja is supposedly making something revolving around the DoA universe on the PS3. Not specifically the fifth entry into the franchise. What was that last God-awful fighting game spinoff? Death by Degrees? Bad call, Tekken, bad call.

Also mentioned in the magazine is the idea that Nippon-Ichi's popular SRPG series, Disgaea, will be making its way onto the PlayStation 3 as well. Not much else is known -- will it be on the PSN (since the games are, admittedly, not the finest looking), will it be a remake, sequel, what? No matter, we'll find out in due time. Personally, I'm not too fond of the games. You waste too much time getting absolutely nothing at all accomplished. Levelling up is a joke, blah blah blah add your own opinions.

1. nobody commented on this?? this could potentially be huge.

DOA is one of the games I enjoyed on my gf's xbox. it'd be a good fit with PS3, (just keep the DOA extreme games away, please)

as for Disgaea, I believe it's coming to PSP soon, so it makes sense to also make it for PS3.

3. @ kingofwale

What would make DOA, or an iteration of it coming to the PS3 huge? Do you honestly believe it's half the fighter that Tekken is?

4. as much as I want the ps3 to win this "console war" , this just being unrealistic...seriously we have the draw the line somewhere

5. I am looking really forward to Disgaea for PS3, the two games were freaking awesome on PS2 (except for the PS1 graphics)

wasn't huge on leveling up my weapons, but it definately added lenth to the game, and the alternet levels, being able to level upto level 9999 is rare in a game.

because sexual deviants... those who bought DOA extreme, might pick up a PS3. and god knows, there are a lot of them in US.. ;)

You tell me, is there a game iN PS3 that caters to those audience?

9. @kingofwales

You do have a point of the DOA franshise selling well on the box xbox platform, however, I always attributed it much more to a lack a decent fighting games rather then the boobs bouncing.

As for plenty of sexual deviants, the world is full of 'em, and no, there isn't currently a PS3 game that caters that much to bouncey boobs.

10. I dont care about the DOA, or DOAX series... but, if these come to PS2, its more likely that NG2 will be coming out for PS3. Tecmo seems to be giving PS3 love.
