PS3 Fanboy

Yes, this is exactly what you've been waiting for. Toy Home 2nd Gear promises to bring more SIXAXIS love to the PS3. Available on the Japanese Store for 500 yen (about $4.50), this expansion adds new cars, new levels and new modes to the PSN original. No US release has been announced yet.

Clearly Eidos is desperate to remind us PS3 owners that their game exists. What a shame last week's demo was so utterly atrocious. Neversoft and Evolution Studios both offer us Christmas gifts in the form of downloadable add-ons (even though this Guitar Hero III pack is incredibly late) and as for Populous ... Well, we didn't see that one coming. We're pretty happy about it though!

Game Republic's upcoming PSN game, Toy Home, is coming soon to the US PlayStation Store. The game, which is already available in Japan, focuses on physics-based driving. Overall, it looks a bit underwhelming, especially graphically. However, there's potential for zany fun, provided the controls feel good. Catch another video, after the cut.

The official site for Game Republic's Toy Home is up and includes a whole host of information pertinent to its release. The game will be downloadable from the Japanses PSN Store from November the first and will cost 800 yen. Toy Home will weigh in at 629 megabytes and will support up to two players. Both of whom can play with Dualshock 3 controllers, if they wish.

There's no word on when this will be coming to the US or EU PSN Stores, but we'd expect to see it arrive sometime before Christmas. Is that vague enough for you?

We didn't know it was supposed to be a mystery, but apparently the developers behind PS3's new racer, Toy Home, weren't announced at TGS. The game was held in some high acclaim, so the lack of knowing who was behind the title was disorienting for some. Sony has finally revealed who's to blame for making another winning game and it's none other than Game Republic -- the group behind Folklore and Genji.

The game, planned as a Japanese-exclusive download for now, has Sixaxis support for steering the cars, but also will include support for rumble. This will be the first downloadable title to support rumble, we think. There's not much else to know about the game. You race, it's cute and fun, and it's probably going to stick around in Japan only. If you've got a Japanese account, though, good for you as you'll get a neat game to play this Winter.
