Here, have some Uncharted 2 screenshots and concept pics

We know exactly how you're feeling. You saw the Uncharted 2 trailer (probably multiple times) and it just left you wanting more. NeoGaf user "jiggle" has posted a whole bunch of screenshots and concept images from Nathan Drake's second outing. They show a new urban environment, with decidedly non-piratey armed guards (though, in true Uncharted fashion, they do all look the same). There's also some snowy concept art, what appears to be a new female sidekick (we're still rooting for Elena to make a return) and an ancient city in the mountains (shown above) that we can't wait to explore.

We're not sure what the source of these images is, but we'll be sure to update you should we learn of their origin. Regardless, take a peek and get yourself even more hyped up for what is quickly becoming our most anticipated game for 2009.

Motorstorm Pacific Rift track details and screenshots

Click for bigger cars -- brrm, brrrm!

Sony has revealed the full track list for MotorStorm Pacific Rift. The 16 levels are split between four zones, each based on an element. In the Air Zone you'll find lots of jumps, cliffs and downhill sections while the Earth Zone is a little more down to earth (get it?), with plenty of plants and undergrowth which can get in your way, hide obstacles and, apparently, fight back. In the Fire Zone you'll be faced with lava pits, volcanoes and rocky wastelands and, finally, in the Water Zone you'll find the island's coast, huge waterfalls and rivers. For a description of each of the 16 tracks, check after the break for the press release excerpt.

This should please those who found the dusty desert setting of the original MotorStorm a bit dull after a while. Pacific Rift promises to be incredibly varied, especially when you check out the tracks themselves. We've been given a huge number of screenshots to get up, including maps of most of the tracks, so check them out in the gallery below. It's definitely worth a look.

Eidos releases new Batman Arkham Asylum screens

Click for higher resolution
We don't blame you if you forgot about the recent announcement of Batman Arkham Asylum. A lot's happened since then. Eidos is keen to keep the game fresh in your mind, however, and has released a batch of new screen shots to do just that. These shots show gameplay and art from the game, as most screenshots tend to do, including B-man himself alongside the Joker and some very moody images of the eponymous Arkham Asylum. If you're excited for this 2009 title then be sure to jump into our gallery and saturate your eyeballs in picturey goodness.

The Last Remnant official Japanese website now open

The official site of the The Last Remnant is now online. There's a trailer, a prologue, information on the battle system, 4 characters with voices and 12 screenshots. You can even choose between three different songs as your background music. The game prologue mentions Remnants as ancient artifacts of awesome power but unknown origins, and that mankind's usage of them has caused "a rift in the world's balance." Isn't there always a rift in the world's balance in every Square game?

The game is to be a 360 timed-exclusive supposedly because of a delay caused by the Unreal Engine the game is using. The screenshots seems to focus on the environment, landscape and building architecture of the game. The style also reminds us of Final Fantasy XII. So, still looking forward to The Last Remnant or bitter over the delay?

New My SingStar screens: it's karaoke for PS3!

Some people just like to hear their own voice. If you're the next aspiring American Idol, you may find this worth checking out. Last week some new My SingStar images surfaced showing off the next-gen karaoke game for PlayStation 3. It gives off a quirky vibe to those who may not be keen on this type of game, but we could be seeing some really sweet applications thanks to the PS3 hardware.

With secret weapons emerging, hardware of the like could provide a fresh angle on a song-driven game like this. Though you can only push an EyeToy or camera so far for a karaoke title. However there's always the possibility of downloading all kinds of new songs over their network platform too. And what about the chance of downloading user-created content as well? Maybe that's just wishful thinking, but hey... it could happen!

Screenshot roundup: Virtua Fighter 5

Here are a handful of screens from Virtua Fighter 5, slated for a spring '07 release. If you haven't been following the title and want to sink your eyeballs into some more images, check out this link to find some from earlier last month. So far it's shaping up to look like a winner (but how will the new controller interface with it?).

New next-gen Gran Turismo screens

Dubbed Gran Turismo HD, it is actually considered to be in prototype-phase as opposed to a GT product. The idea is to show off the muscle behind the PS3, and anyone would be hard to argue that these fall short of doing just that. Of course what would a next-gen Sony console be without some sort of Gran Turismo installment? This statement should give fans of the series something to look forward to: "The wait for the next generation of Gran Turismo, post launch of PS3, may not be as long as you think."

New Alone in the Dark screenshots

Feast your eyes on some saucy new screenshots for Alone in the Dark. While Atari hasn't officially come out and confirmed it for PS3, other sources have hinted at it coming to the Sony machine. Taking that into consideration, we don't have a solid release date, but it'd be nice to see it in November.

New screenshots: Resistance: Fall of Man, Frontlines

Here are a few screenshots of the PS3 launch title Resistance: Fall of Man. Look eerie enough for you? Either way, it's hard not to love the dynamic environments and grungy atmosphere. But do you think Frontlines: Fuel of War looks that good?

Lair off-screen trailer looked good at GDC

Stills and screenshots can only do so much to convey how good a game looks. Here's an off-screen video presentation of Lair recorded from GDC, showing off the Factor 5 game in action (or, should we say, motion).

You might recognize some of the animation from videos seen elsewhere, but it was nice to catch the newer footage of a dragon wireframe model meticulously rendered with layers of musculature and skin, too.

If that's not enough for ya, you can always just listen in to the audio, which features a young lady from Washington asking questions of a developer with the hope of getting hired. Consider this a lesson in networking.
