Due to Sony's holiday break last week, we didn't get any Rock Band DLC. As a result, everything has been pushed back a week. Hopefully Harmonix/Sony will adjust this soon -- we'd hate to think it will become standard practice for PS3 owners to get their DLC a week later than everyone else.
"Space Truckin'" -- Deep Purple
"Funk #49" -- James Gang
"Hymn 43" -- Jethro Tull
"Take Back the City" -- Snow Patrol
Roy Orbison Pack
"Claudette"
"In Dreams"
"Mean Woman Blues"
"Oh, Pretty Woman"
"Ooby Dooby"
"You Got It"
Each song will be priced individually at $1.99 while the Roy Orbison Pack will cost $9.99. Look for the Roy Orbison tracks next week on Thursday, January 15th while the other songs will debut this Thursday on January 8th.

All right, this is going to be a pretty big update for everyone who loves downloading new songs, so listen up. First on the list, Harmonix is releasing a Foo Fighters three-pack for Rock Band next week in addition to the previously reported Rockin' Holiday Pack. Each song (listed after the break) goes for the standard $1.99 per individual track or $5.49 for the whole shebang.
As for Guitar Hero: World Tour, it will be getting a three-song pack as well; however, this pack consists of songs from three separate bands. All individual GH:WT songs are also priced at $1.99. Check out that list after the break, too. You can grab these tracks, as well as the Rock Band ones, off the PS Store when it updates this coming Tuesday, December 23.
Furthermore, Activision has revealed its DLC plans for the month of January, which includes tracks from Blink 182, Wolfmother, Silverchair, and a full album from Oasis. To see that, just click through the break.

Harmonix has announced they will release a Rock Band track pack to help you celebrate the holidays. Unlike Sony's song pack for SingStar, this group of songs are a little more diverse. And by diverse, we mean one Hanukkah song: Rockin' the Holidays 2008 pack
"Hanukkah Blessings" -- Barenaked Ladies
"Christmas is the Time To Say I Love You" -- Billy Squier
"Blue Christmas" -- The Pretenders
These holiday tracks will land in your collective laps on Tuesday, December 23rd. Pricing is $0.99 per song or $2.99 for all three. Way to spread the holiday cheer, Harmonix -- the song pack is 2 cents more than buying them individually.

MTV Games has announced yet another band's seminal album as Rock Band DLC. Pearl Jam's debut record, Ten, will be re-issued on Tuesday, March 24th, 2009. The press release states the 1991 album will also be downloadable on Rock Band that day, but we are assuming this only applies to the Xbox 360 version of the game. Most likely, the album will be made available to PS3 owners on March 26th, a Thursday, the day PS Store is usually updated.
"Once"
"Even Flow"
"Why Go"
"Black"
"Jeremy"
"Oceans"
"Porch"
"Garden"
"Deep"
"Release"
Alive is missing because it is already on the Rock Band 2 disc. Pricing information hasn't been announced, but our crystal ball past experience tells us it will be $1.99 per track.

"Hillbilly Deluxe" -- Brooks & Dunn
"Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)" -- Dierks Bentley

Time, the renowned weekly newsmagazine, has named its picks for top 10 games of year. Grand Theft Auto IV takes the top spot, while the only PS3 exclusive to make the list is LittleBigPlanet, which sits at third place. Other PS3 multiplatform titles on the list include Rock Band 2, Dead Space and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (really?). Want to know where those games are ranked and what else made the list? Check them out after the jump.
On a related note, the PS3's community-based service Home is number 10 on Time's list of top 10 gadgets of the year. That's this year, 2008. Do the guys at Time know something we don't? Is this an indication that Home will definitely be released this year?

The American punk-ska band No Doubt is bringing some of their best tracks to the Rock Band series. At least, according to a posting on the band's official website. The website states that "The Singles Collection" album will be coming to Rock Band on December 9 (probably December 11 for PS3 owners) and will include 13 tracks from the album. Funny thing is, the album has 15 tracks. So what two songs are being cut? We don't know yet, but you can check the full song list after the break.

Check out the cover of Tokio Hotel's single above: can you guess which one of them is the girl? Trick question -- they are all guys! And you thought Taylor Hanson was bad. Let's take a look at what other bands will make their debuts on Rock Band next week:

"Tutto E' Possibile" -- Finley
"Hay Poco Rock N Roll" -- Platero y Tu
"Tempted" -- Squeeze
"Ready, Set, Go" -- Tokio Hotel
"Real World" -- The All-American Rejects

"I Don't Want to Go to School" -- Naked Brothers Band
"Headphones On" -- Miranda Cosgrove
Each track will be priced at $0.99 for one month ($1.99 after that) except for the Naked Brothers Band tracks, which will be $0.99 permanently. Miranda Cosgrove's track is actually free. All of them will be available on the PS Store beginning Thursday, December 4th.
Striving for open-platform peripheral interoperability is something that is very important to Harmonix and MTV Games. So, when word got out that the PS3 version of Rock Band 2was having a bit of trouble getting the Guitar Hero: World Tour drum set to work with the software, the crew began toiling away to bring things up to snuff.
Indeed, the fruit of that labor is now evident with the recently released v1.01 patch. An MTV Games/Harmonix spokesperson had this statement: "We have been actively working with Sony to develop a software solution to correct the interoperability issue with the Guitar Hero: World Tour drum and guitar peripherals on PS3 and are pleased to announce that this solution is going live today. In addition, the patch will also address some rare crashes and minor issues that were brought to our attention."

November 4th has come and gone. In the States, we've got a new president, but those of you with waiting for the free 20 song DLC for Rock Band 2 aren't as lucky. Harmonix has acknowledged that PS3 owners haven't received their download codes yet. They'll be coming "later this week," according to Harmonix (via 1UP).
In case you forgot, you need to get the redemption code from the back of the RB2 manual, punch it into the page here, and they'll e-mail you one. Finally, if you forgot what the twenty songs are, we've got the list for you right here.
