Worldwide PS3 releases for the week of October 12th

It all begins here, folks. You're about to be inundated with quality titles from now until Christmas. Dead Space is one we've been eagerly anticipating, so it's great to see its release in the US and Asia this week. Even better that it'll be waiting for us when we return from TGS. Other notable releases include SOCOM, Rock Revolution and Saints Row 2. When we say "notable," we don't necessarily mean that in a good way. Here's the full release list:
US Games EU Games
Asian Games
Release dates are constantly subject to change, almost completely by random. If you're worried, clarify with your local retailer. PS3 games are region free, so go ahead and import any game in the list above. Be aware, however, that DLC is region locked, so those downloadable Dead Space suits will only bought if manage to grab them from the appropriate PSN Store.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Feb. 17

So, with Blu-ray finally the winner of the HD race, you'd think there'd be a huge celebration with tons of great releases this week, right? Well, not so much, unless you're a big fan of watching music on TV, that is.
However, Blu-ray owners may be interested in Michael Clayton or Run Lola Run. Both seem like they could be interesting pick ups. On the brighter side, if these movies don't interest you this week, just rest in assurance that there will be some really great releases the following week and in to March.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Feb. 3

If you're looking to get your wife or girlfriend hooked on Blu-ray, this might be the week to do it as several chick flicks and other girlie shows are being released.
It's a verifiable fact that 91 percent of all women love Celine Dion. We don't know exactly why, but it's true, and if that's not enough, there's Suburban Girl and The Jane Austen Book Club. However, if they fall in that minuscule nine percent, there's Crimson Tide, Breaker Morant and The Assassination of Jesse James. Either way, there's something for everyone this week.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Jan. 20

This has to be some sort of cruel joke. Two horror movies released this week, but we don't know which one is more scary.

On one hand you have a movie about people getting horribly mutilated in various ways and one where The Rock is a star football player with a great single life until one day, his bastard daughter shows up on his front doorstep. Either way, we're pretty sure both movies will be tough to watch for far different reasons.
Perhaps we're being a bit too tough on our good friend Dwayne Johnson. Nevertheless, perhaps he should stick with movies where he can bust in a room, say a couple bad-ass one liners and then proceed to beat the crap outta people with a variety of objects.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Jan. 13

Whew, what a week! We've seen more Blu-ray announcements and rumors last week than we can remember. Even though HD-DVD is still technically alive, you can rest assured that it's against the ropes and is gasping for air. With that outta the way, let's see what treats are in store for us this week!

Yeah, we don't really see a whole lot, either. We'll pass on Dane Cook's failed attempts at comedy, and we certainly don't want to witness Billy Bob desecrating his good name. If nothing interests you this week, don't be too bummed out though, because there will be some good titles trickling out this month.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Jan. 6

The week keeps getting better and better for Blu-ray supporters. First Warner Bros. chose to go exclusive to Blu-ray and now we have a very nice line-up of movies to choose from.
If you somehow missed 3:10 to Yuma when it went through theaters, we highly suggest you check it out. It's hard not to include it along some of the best Westerns of all time.

However, things aren't all rainbows and gumdrops. Also released this week is Dragon Wars, one of the most horrible movies to ever grace the Silver Screen. We won't ruin it for you, but the ending of the movie is so bad that you might want to at least rent it for a good laugh.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Dec. 30

Although last week's Blu-ray releases were pretty much all about Pan's Labyrinth, there are actually several titles Blu-ray owners could be interested in this week.
Of course, most gamers will probably be most interested in the Resident Evil trilogy, we hear Shoot 'Em Up is a fun action flick, and we can never say no to Monica Bellucci.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Dec. 11

Following up on last week's strong lineup of Blu-ray releases, we're treated to an even meatier menu to feast over. This week is, perhaps, one of the greatest moments for Potter fans as all five movies come to Blu-ray.

Harry Potter Limited Edition Gift Set: Years 1-5
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
High School Musical 2: Extended Edition
Lost: The Complete Third Season
Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains the Same
The Legend of Zorro
Rent
SOS! Tokyo Metro Explorers: The Next

However, if Potter isn't your thing, there's always Led Freaking Zeppelin. And if you don't like Zeppelin, may we suggest High School Musical 2?

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Dec. 2

After last week's less-than-stellar offering, we're back to more of the heavy hitters. This week features a couple movies just seeing their first releases and a classic that's sure to look wonderful on Blu-ray.
While we'll kindly pass on seeing Elton John in hi-definition, we're huge fans of anything Judd Apatow touches, so Superbad is a must buy. And despite watching Cast Away at least a dozen times, we'll happily pick it up to see one of Tom Hanks' best performances ever.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Nov. 27

This definitely isn't Blu-ray's most high-profile week it's ever had. With the lack of any blockbuster releases, we're not left with a whole lot.
Anime fans will recognize both Paprika and Jin-Roh. Satoshi Kon's Paprika may not be his best work, but it's still quite an adventure. Jin-Roh is a rather timeless film that's vital to any true anime fan's collection.
The Omega Man is a classic that is sure to excite a few of us sci-fi nerds, but if you don't see anything worthy of blowing your hard-earned cash on this week, just take solace in the fact that next week is much, much better.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Nov. 20

We're not entirely sure, but we think there are a few other Blu-ray movie releases this week that don't have "Die Hard" somewhere in their title. Seriously, this is like the greatest day ever for die-hard fans of Die Hard. (See what we did there?) Even if you're somehow not a fan of John McClane, there's not really much left over unless you like to see a foul-mouthed Santa, John Travolta in drag or even more exploitation of the poor, unfortunate Native Americans. Yippie ki-yay!

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of Nov. 13

The rollercoaster ride that is the weekly Blu-ray releases continues its weekly rise and fall. After last week's impressive lineup of Pixar titles and several bargain bundles, we're not left with much for this week.
While the Oceans trilogy is decent and Close Encounters is better, we're more interested in Ultimate Force, which features the UFC's Croation Sensation Mirko "Crocop" Filipovic, in kinda the same way you watch NASCAR to see the fiery crashes. Judging from Crocop's last few UFC bouts, though, he may want to continue his acting career.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of November 4

While last week's Blu-ray releases underwhelmed the majority of us, everyone should be pleased this week as we get several great Pixar titles, two new editions of Best of Blu-ray and even a few Blu-ray 4-packs.
The Best of Blu-ray: Action is probably the best of the bundles despite the inclusion of the hilariously awful Alexander Revisited: The Final Cut, but with the newer, gorier Troy Director's Cut, Wyatt Earp and Blood Diamond, you're getting some really great movies at a really great price of only $59.

Blu-ray movie releases for the week of October 28

Quickly scanning this week's Blu-ray releases, it's hard to notice anything but Spider-Man 3 or its trilogy, but if you're a tree-hugging hippie, you'll definitely be in for a treat. Although there's 15 releases this week, it definitely isn't the strongest lineup we've seen. However, we're pretty excited to finally see Digital Video Essentials heading our way.
