So, how do you enter? First, find out what the PSP Fanboy team thinks about Star Wars Battlefront (Andrew, Jem, Nick, and Colin and ) and then leave a comment reminding us how many Os were in Darth Vader's famous scream at the end of Episode Three. Be sure to leave your comment on the corresponding giveaway posts at Joystiq and PSP Fanboy, for a total of three entries today. We'll select one comment from all three sites at random tomorrow morning before we give away another PSP-2000.

Sony wants you to design a Folklore character

It's not too often gamers are afforded the opportunity to have a direct impact on a video game ... like actually getting to create a character, but once again, Sony's giving you that very chance in the Create a Folk contest for Folklore. Currently, there are more than 100 Folks in Folklore, but Sony needs just one more.

Developer Game Republic will turn the winner's artwork into an in-game character that will be downloadable from the PlayStation Store. Even more exciting is that entries will be judged by a panel that includes Yoshiki Okamoto of Resident Evil and Devil May Cry fame.

The competition just kicked off and will run through Oct. 22. To create an entry, you must provide an illustration of your character, his name, a detailed description and a unique attack the player can absorb from him. You can post entries here or e-mail them here.

[Thanks, Kspraydad]

Design a Folklore creature, get it in the game

If you're crazy about Folklore, then you may want to pay attention! A new contest from SCEA will net you a limited edition "World of Folklore" art book, a copy of the game ... and a chance for your original creation to be part of the game.

The game has you collecting the spirits of various creatures, Folks, and using them in battle. Folklore features over 100 kinds of Folk to use in battle -- and one of them can be created by you! Simply draw an original creature, describe its abilities and e-mail it to playstation_community_support @ playstation.sony.com. Game Republic will choose four runners-up and one grand prize winner. For more contest details, click here.

Make sure you tell all your PS3-owning friends to enter. The site with the most entries gets not two, but three copies of the game to give away.

Giveaway: Fanboys fight for The Darkness

The Darkness is coming ...

Starbreeze's hotly anticipated FPS title is coming to the PS3 ... and Xbox 360. We have five copies of the game to give away, but we don't know which version we should hand out. Xbox 360? PS3? Well, you'll help us decide in the very first Xbox 360 Fanboy/PS3 Fanboy joint contest. We're pitting each community against each other. Fans on Xbox 360 Fanboy will explain why the 360 version of the game will be better. You will explain why the PS3 version of the game will be better. To enter:
  1. Finish this sentence: "The PS3 version of The Darkness is better than the 360 version because ... "
  2. Submit your idea to our comments section.
Two winners will be chosen from PS3 Fanboy. If the PS3 Fanboy sweepstakes receives more entries than the Xbox 360 Fanboy sweepstakes, a third winner will be chosen here at PS3 Fanboy. All winners will receive a prize package from 2K Games, which includes one copy of the game, and a very cool The Darkness comic. Entries will only be accepted until 6/26/07. Please note that the giveaway is open US residents only, 18 years or older. For complete rules and regulations, click here.

Canadians get a crack at a red PS3

Want to be the coolest Canadian on your block? Better head on over to the Canadian PlayStation site and register to win your very own Adrian Anz designed, red PS3 T-shirt! We should also mention that t-shirt comes with a PS3 console. No worries, it's a 60GB version and similar in every way to the shiny, black obelisk-looking ones you can buy in retail stores. Except it's red ... "china red" to be exact, with "wine red" tinted clear coat. Red-a-licious. Head to their website for additional information. We're already in the process of telling all our Canadian friends about this sweet contest. Since only three of these bad boys will be given away, all Canadian gamers ought to not delay further and head over to enter.
