Mark and Glenn host the show alone, and Jem and Andrew call in to talk about E3 and the Joystiq meet-up.

If you actually knew anything about InFamous, you'd know that it has quite an intriguing story. ;)

tell me what games aren't generic, according to you. and then tell me what games the ps3 needs.

God of War 3, LBP aren't generic. the PS3 needs more marketable games like those. MAG, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, while technically decent looking games, DO look generic. there's just no denying that they just don't have a catchy look to them.

are you the one i quoted but with a different name? i don't remember seeing anything but a trailer for G.O.W 3. can you link me to the gameplay video that you saw? a "catchy look" or not will be determined by sales figures. and we can't figure that out before the games are released. if the ps3 needs more games like those 2, wouldn't that create a generic base in itself? you mean to say the ps3 needs more "innovative" games, right? if so, then i got it, i get ya.
one last thing, as i don't play many FPS, tell me what other first person shooters offer the same experiences as the 2 in question?

i don't see that you quoted anyone. you asked a question to the OP, and i decided to answer and give my opinion.
the GOW franchise as a whole has immense marketable potential just based off it's predecessors. LBP already has a Unique style as well.
the Resistance and Killzone franchises, unfortunately aren't as noticible. sure the effects, textures animation and gameplay are intact. but as far as that unique look? sorry, they just fall into obscurity.
and as for your question, again the two first person shooters are lost in a sea of FPS, with a few that have incredible marketing potential and unique style that are instantly recognizable.
i look at the Killzone and Resistance franchise and i just don't see a unique look to them. solid gameplay and graphics, most definitely, but not a "catchy" look. even if they do soar in sales, it's just my opinion that they look generic.

what other fps games offer the same experiences as ks2 and r2? and list a few of the ones that have "incredible marketing potential and unique style that are instantly recognizable." if you can answer them 2 without any bloated text, rock it.
yeah, you can't quote on this site other than copying and pasting. i ain't down with it.

2 games. no 'bloated text' (whatever that means):
Halo and Gears of War. same experiences and tremendous marketing potential.

also, i don't mean to say that these are "superior" games. my opinion of their actual gameplay doesn't matter. they are similar in that they offer a shooting game experience.
what i'm saying is they have more of a unique look and style to them that is instantly recognizable and marketable compared to KZ 2 and R2.

glad that we could have this conversation. from the second you chimed in, i knew what your answers were going to be.
anyway, i think a point has been made without any further commenting.
"gears" is a FPS?
bloated text: review post 9 (mine), then review post 10 (yours)... got it?
anyway, here's to future "conversations."

To be honest, I haven't even tried MG Online since I bought MGS4. I'll get around to it soon and you can be sure we'll talk about that issue.
