The latest episode of The 1UP Show features an exclusive first-look at Killzone 2's vehicles. Every bit of info that comes out for this incredibly secretive FPS gets us a bit more excited, and this impressive preview from the 1UP doesn't change the trend. We're going hands-on with the game at E3 next week -- let's hope it plays just as well as it looks.

Looks great, I can't wait to play Killzone two. There's just one problems...
WHY do the Helghast wear the masks on their home planet? And why don't the ISA wear masks on Helghan? I hate it when companies miss such obvious details...

It's for their distinctive looks. Think of it as a army uniform. Just because you're on your home planet doesn't mean you have to change what you wear to war.
Plus, I don't remember the Helghast soldier you use in the first game ever needing a mask.... although he is half human.

on the 1st game the helgahns(SP?) were the 1st to reach the planet. while they were there the gas in the atmosphere made them weak and the oufit kinda act as body strengthening kinda thing... i'm not sure on the details but i loved the killzone 1 and i'll be definitely getting this one no matter what.

Using my imagination: The Helghast(at the time they settled Helghan, they more closely resembled modern humans) couldn't adapt quickly enough to their new habitat without the aid of technology. The Helghast have now become a new race/species reliant on that technology for everyday survival (they've become one with machine). [See: Darth Vader, Robocop] I could probably go into more detail, but I've gotta go. I think guerrilla should come up with a bigger mythology for the Helghast-- it could prove very interesting.

Guerrilla has already explained that their evolution took place-- as it does, naturally-- over several generations. The ISA troops are in no immediate threat to the harsh Helghan elements. (Hopefully this topic isn't sidestepped entirely and left to us to figure out ourselves.)

Glad to hear they are using the same motion capture interface like the one used for Heavenly sword....best in-game animation ever.

So far it looks excellent. Now I can't wait!!! Guerrilla should keep doing what they're doing, and they might just have the GotY.

This will go up there with the best shooters ever made and it's exclusivly on the PS3, yeh baby! Just what we need too, a killa shooter, now lets see which will be better, R2 or K2. Sony did the right thing moving it to Feb too. It will get a much bigger spread when people are craving for something new and there will be little else to quench our thirsts in this genre then as well. Also, should be over 20 mil PS3's by then too, more nubs to thrash!
