Nestled deep in the comments section of the official PAIN Blog, Producer Travis Williams has been busy responding to the community. There's plenty of back-and-forth banter, but there are also some hidden gems of info which we thought you might be interested in. PAIN's expansion pack, the Amusement Park, will be available this Summer for "less than $6.99" and a video of it in action will be shown on the official PlayStation Blog at some point tomorrow. A European release will happen simultaneously.
With regards to trophies, this will be included in the expansion pack and won't end there. Travis says that "new trophies for PAIN will come out as long as we continue to add content." Hopefully this is a common occurrence, with future game expansions for existing titles bringing more trophies. Could this mean more Super Stardust HD trophies are coming at some point in the future? Considering there's no Platinum trophy, we're guessing so.

Ummm... weren't you supposed to get the platinum trophy by collecting every other ingame trophy? Also, I'm drunk so don't blame me for not making sense.

Oh, also. Platinium trophies are not available in the PSN titles. You, of all people, should know that, Mr Ps3 Fanboy dot com

Hang on, the whole point of the Platinum trophy, as I understand it, is you get it by unlocking all the other trophies. Does this mean someone has unlocked all the trophies for SSHD and not been given the Platinum one? I'd be mighty pissed if that happened to me, given that was how the trophy system was described and SSHD is the first (currently only) trophy game!
Does this mean any game which could potentially be expanded (and supports trophies) will not have a Platinum one until all expansion possibilities have been exhausted?

Read my comment above. It appears that only disc based games can utilize the platinium trophy feature.

It may sound strange to most people, but im really looking forward to this game.I know a lot of people bashed the game on release due to its lack of content and replayability, hell I was one of them to begin with, but the updates that the game has recieved have really made the game well worth a look.
The in game trophies that you can unlock for it right now are extremely challenging and very rewarding,so Im really looking forward to some proper PSN trophies from this game.

Am I the only one that thinks PAIN is lacking in its content and they shouldn't CHARGE to have another area since most games nowadays have more then one level?

I agreed with you totally. It's sad to see how expensive the extra playable models were, and now this. Just stop charging the customers all the extras! OK, OK, the devs call this for an "expansion pack"... I really hope it is - and not just one level more...
I really hope the devs question themselves this: Will anyone be playing the first stage (the city) then this amusement park is released?
And said to themselves; probably not... let's updated the first stage too - so we'll have two cool stages!

I'm thankful that I'm not alone. PAIN just feels like its still in its beta phase the way there is only one level to play on and the launching spot is always the same. The extra modes aren't very satisfying (especially the Mime one).
Maybe I've just been spoiled by SSHD and I expect more from PSN titles.

Thank you! I always say this; only retards get drunk. And Pain is more entertaining now that you can play custom music.

I have always viewed PAIN as a very expensive package or demo. It may have a lot of depth in its single stage. But at least three is fair value for money. It seems the updates only offer what should have been available from start.
It is the blight of the PSN paying for parts of games to the point where the initial amount of quick fix good value is undermined. Release full games...then add levels to expand and refresh the experience.
Surely this only is allowed to happen because of the lack of third party companies developing exclusive titles for the network.
