Because £329 is roughly the price for a ps3 + game in this country anyway.
I work at GAME in the UK and we used to sell the PS3 + GT5:P for £300 (not special bundle either); bearing in mind that GT5:P retailed at £25 by itself!

Could be a trick to reel people in so when play.com email them to say 'sorry, no gunmetal ps3 for you', the customer thinks 'oh but i want a PS3 badly now, i'll have to get a regular version'.

Well it is no longer available, and the only way to get the product is using the direct link, not searchable on the site.
So either they had very few, loads of orders, or it was likely a mistake.
