Chris Redfield works for an extra-legal organization called BSAA -- he has quite an arsenal thanks to this group. The game will show what weaponry he has strapped onto his back, which might mean we'll have a single-button weapon swap function instead of RE4's giant briefcase. The story is set around "an escape from a predicament". This might be talking escaping from the enemy with your new gal pals -- one young blond girl (believed to be Sherry) and one new, darker-skinned girl.
The enemy is neither zombie nor Ganados, but when they die they gurgle and turn into foam. The enemy now represents multiple races to appease the masses. Also shown in Famitsu was a shot of a "man" in some kind of cell. Apparently, this creature bears a resemblance to Nosferatu from Code: Veronica ... or to Lisa Trevor from the GameCube remake of the original game. We'll find out when the trailer hits, perhaps!

I see that Capcom caved in to political correctness.

Why didn't anyone complain when you were blasting nothing but spaniards in RE4? You were in Spain, after all.
How funny will it be to shoot Chinese zombies in Africa?

So sick of companies pandering to watchdog groups. Make your game, tell the whiners to go screw.

Corrected. Not really a spelling mistake; more of a typo. I thought you were going to go off on a tangent between using "more wordy" or "wordier". Thanks for the heads up!

whatever, anyone in their right mind would be against a video game where a white guy kills a bunch of animalistic negros. I'm glad they're changing it.
is JFK Reloaded OK with you guys too? Racial violence is especially sensitive between whites and blacks. You can't pretend it doesn't still influence today.

Capcom aren't American, maybe they didn't consider the racism problem over there.
Is there anything else you'd like changed before the rest of us can play it? :P

I bet it would be a whole different can of worms if it was a black guy shooting all white people.
Just saying what most of us are thinking.

Capcom was going to do that originally but they had difficulty modeling the boom box for his shoulder and it blocked the camera.

well do we even know how much has been changed in regards to race? did they cave? or did we not know all the details because the trailer only showed one aspect of the game. whatd be worse now is if all the "zombies" are black n all the bosses are white. so judge once we get it

there are plenty of people who would care. with africas booming economy (in certain regions) there are many who are interested in africa being the next china. so dont make sure silly statements

n also to say that the japanese dont understand the history of how fare skinned peoples treat darker skinned is silly. there is plenty of history in asia between light vs dark, better vs worse. why do japanese women walk around under umbrellas to keep their skin as white as possible?

I'm fairly certain that if you picked a backwards african town at random, chances are that there would be a high percentage of a particular race living there. Why would you not be killing black people in an area where black people often live?
I'm not a racist but I think this kind of softly, softly, scared of your own shadow way of thinking is just stupid.
Last time I visited Africa on holiday I didn't see many Irish Whites about, and when I was living in (Aarhus) Denmark I likewise didn't see many black people about.
How about you stick to making a setting feel believable rather than pussy footing about!

It really boils down to how they're depicted as a culture. In the few trailer's there have been, even before they are "infected" or "sick," they still look like savages lacking any glimmer of humanity.
RE4 was different because any Anglo-Spanish conflict is so distant from today that it wouldn't stir up emotions.

But this goes back to why don't we have an African in Amsterdam shooting white people? It would never fly. Or do you not understand politics and history.

Sucks they changed it....I am disappointed the whites and blacks were so pissed off in their never ending fight with each other...So then the Japanese had to suffer and so did I. Man...when did someone else's life have to plop itself down in front of video games.
