MGS4 screens show new terrain, hint at flashbacks
Most of the previous MGS4 screenshots depict the center of wasted Middle Eastern city. These new screens, however, show a bit of grassland and rocky terrain as well as some indoor shots, too. There's even a shot of Snake controlling Mk. II with a DualShock 3. The picture above suggests you'll be tracking down your stats such as Headshots and CQC take downs. Most interesting is the "flashbacks viewed" stat. Does this mean there will be several playable flashbacks to previous MGS games ... like this one of Shadow Moses?

Awesome, but why would Snake infiltrate Tony Montana's Mansion?

Allow me to predict that this Metal Gear will surpass even MGS2 in deceptive advertising... We have at least three more environments we have seen almost none of, including what looks to be Shadow Moses (from MGS1), South America, and Eastern Europe. I can't wait!

Not sure where I read it exactly (I'm sure we've all done our reading on this game by now), but kojima mentioned this in his playthrough of the first chapter of the game. Somewhere in a conversation, mention is made of metal gear, and the screen flickers a bit. Kojima pointed out that there are many times like this where if you press a button, you can trigger the flashback to see the event mentioned. Could be pretty nice, being able to choose whether or not to watch the lengthy flashbacks.
