I already did that. The game was Bionic Commando: Rearmed.
Never again will I give a game the benefit of the doubt, especially after being bombarded with screenshots/hands-on reviews/videos MONTHS in advance.
In all honesty, I'm really stoked for Wipeout HD. I'm just keeping my fanboyism in check for once.

holy fuck... its wipeout... its a fucking racing game... actually not only is it wipeout, its Wipeout Pulse (almost) on PS3's scale from SONY. ya Sony bought Psynosis a LONG time ago. If you're knocking it now, you're not really a gamer... ur just a fat b*****

My bad... not Bionic Commando, I meant the effing Rocketman game. Damn that game blew whale balls. And only 10 levels? WTF? Sorry, I'm actually anticipating the Bionic Commando game!
And you're right Ty, I'm not a gamer. I'm an adult who plays video games.
My whole point was more of an observation of the spin machine that starts cranking up before games get released. You would think this game is the next Mario 3 or Metroid... it's out of control. Just be ready to have your "w00ts" turned into "mehs".

Damn you, PS3 Fanboy! The wait is killing me. I wish these were actually screenshots, though. They look beautiful, but at 1024x576, they're running at just over 1/2 full res, and most of them don't look like actual screen captures.

Man, I would love to have at least a release date for this game. A price would be nice too...
I've been watching the trailer in all it's HD glory for the past 2 months or so just dying to play this game. It just looks so beautiful. I'm glad they're putting Zone mode in, it looks great in action. I wish I could get a bigger TV in anticipation for this game, but it'll have to wait.

LOL @ "sometime in the next two months"... well if other projects are any indication it will be in two months -at the end of the second month, (what normal people would consider 3 months) so prepare for July 31 which happens to be a Thursday for a PS update.

Are their any game functionalities that are dependent on Sony firmware update for custom tracks being playable in-game?
I can't imagine Sony left this franchise in the closet when the first launched the PS3!
