When I first played the demo, I laughed out loud at the twerps that complain that the graphics sucks and so on. The graphics are fantastic and the game play is GREAT. For those of you who haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and download the demo for yourselves. I'm buying this bad boy in 13 days!

Yeas, I agree to this post. If you try it with 3 friends in co-op, it really is too easy though.

BTW, to anyone complaining the demo is too easy, did you guys bother cranking up the difficulty?

@Popfrogs,
I played it in hard and it's still pretty easy. But this is only a tiny section of the game, and just because an early level is easy doesn't mean that the entire game is going to be easy.. Knights of the Temple was easy right up until the last boss, and then it got crazy hard. Most games have a better balance than that, but it makes my point.
That said, normal difficulty in co-op seemed harder than hard mode in solo, maybe because the people I joined don't know WTF they're doing, compared to the AI.. I dunno.

honestly my interest has severely dropped for this title. after multiple release date changes, generic gameplay footage, and a plethora of first person shooters on this platform. i will try out the demo but as far as first person shooters go this doesn't seem to bring anything new to the table.

I would argue that 4-player split screen or online co-op is something new. That's certainly my most anticipated feature of the game. Free Radical have proven themselves with the Timesplitters franchise. It's just a shame what I played of the game in March wasn't very impressive.
I've yet to try the demo (still writing up PlayStation Day articles!) but I've heard it's great fun in co-op mode.

New for what? Halo? Goldeneye?

online co-op is hardly a new idea. and 4 player split screen? i am less than excited about dividing up my screen into 4 small boxes where I can strain to see my surroundings, and i play on a 42" hdtv.

It's 2 player split screen. And split screen at all is pretty new for the PS3. Warhawk did it, but pretty much no other games.

I created a EU account to try the demo early. My first impression was the game is stupid but after trying the demo a second time, I was actually liking the game.
The first time I played I couldnt see the enemy I was shooting at and thought it was poor graphics (grainy). The second time I played I ran up to an enemy to melee and realized they were wearing camo (when an enemy dies, their corpse disappears quickly but they leave their weapon). I took my time and look at all the surrounding objects(incredible visuals). The reason why I had a hard time seeing them the first time was due to their camo, which makes sense because they are rebels and using guerillla warefare tactics. The whole idea of trying to get the maximum use out of "nectar" but not to O.D. on it (you will go berserk and start shooting the closest people to you, including your allies, if you O.D.) is interesting. I plan to pick up this game.

If you're on Nectar, you can see the enemies very easily.

HAZE looks like its the beginning of a good game that could have its share of followers wanting sequels. Game looks good, concept is cool.

Hm, I hate to repeat myself, but it's hard not to notice how the "screenshots" they release invariably look MUCH better than the actual gameplay videos we've seen. Someone commented that that's because the screenshots are from a newer build, but I'd question why we haven't seen new videos yet, and the only evidence of the graphics actually being decent comes from screenshots. If the game actually looks as good as these screenshots suggest, I'll eat my hat. These images are bullshots.

The Corpses Disappear on purpose.
The Mantel don't see all the Death around them because Mantel is trying to keep them from seeing the "Truth" which is supposed to be the Story Twist to the Game. Later in the Game you will be switching sides.
This plays into Single and Multi-Player because as a Free Hand Soldier you will be able to Play Dead and they will not see you. Where as the Mantel will have Nectar to Enhance their running, strength, sight and aim. However the Nectar can Overdose or as Free Hand you can hit them with a Knife with Nectar and get one of their guys to go Schizo and kill his own. It sounds like it will be a lot of fun.
From what I played in the Demo it looks to be pretty cool.
It plays solid like Resistance or Halo games.
It looks really good graphically.
The Vehicular content looks like it will be off the Hook.
There is 4 Player Co-op, but the Demo only allowed 2 Split Screen... Meaning you could have 2 on 1 system and 2 on another. I hope that that is not the way it will end up.
I'm really hoping that you can do 4 Players on 1 system, or 3 Players on 1 system with another online. That is what has been touted so far, so I am hoping that it simply was not in the Demo...

Wow, a spoiler warning would have been nice there.
It's generally not good to END a sentence with "and that's the big twist in the game".

I loved Haze. The setting made me feel like I wanted to keep going... it made me want to shoot those MotherF'n bad guys. The colors, the pace.... it was all great.
I don't get it why people love to give it a hard time, it's fun. Maybe I'm less narrow minded & I have a broader view of "fun"... but I have to be honest, the way they made this game, it just feels right. The gameplay was fluid, everything peiced in together nicely, even the cutscenes.
God damnit... I'mma go play it again... :D - Ive got GTA IV, and thats saying something.
