You haven't heard? Korn has a new song for the upcoming PS3 FPS, Haze. (Haven't seen it? Watch it here.) Surprisingly, the interview is very mellow, and goes into how the band was "inspired" by money the game's unique story of revenge.
This Haze interview is Korn-y

what's this? Korn made a song for Haze. Well the only rational explanation has to be that Haze is the greatest game ever made. AAA status. . . wait a minute . . . Korn? what year is it. I think I might have traveled back to a time when they were relevant. Damn. Gotta go find Doc Brown and Marty.

Oh yeah, it's not cool to like KoRn anymore, so we should bash them now!

I'm not bashing them because I don't like them anymore. I've never liked them. I just think this is the dumbest attempt at getting paid to do something and then passing it off as just being inspired to do it.

Did everyone bash Megadeth when they wrote Gears of War? I didn't really follow the Xbox scene, but I bet you they did. It's the cool thing to do.. If someone approached my band and asked me to write a song, and I was a gamer, I'd actually check the game out and write my song based on that - that's called being inspired by something. It doesn't even mean that he has an affinity for the game, but that also doesn't mean he doesn't. Jon is a gamer, so why couldn't he like the game? If I write a song that is inspired by the war in Iraq, does that mean I have to like the war? Do I have to love war to be inspired to write a song about war?

you can get inspired by anything to write a song, all I'm saying is that i doubt they were inspired by anything other than money.
I never played Gears of War. as far as i know Megadeth did a song for the game but they weren't plugging the game in the process. Megadeth didn't get interviewed and talk about gears of war.

Brilliant. Revenge is a Unique story! Why didn't anyone else think of that!
On a side note, i point out the stupidity in others to make myself feel better!

That's a whole lotta' b.s. I sincerly doubt they felt inspired to create this song....most of the stuff they put out today is written by someone else anyway. I will not be purchasing this game.

Are you boycotting this game just because KoRn did a song for it and you don't like KoRn anymore? If so, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

stop assuming everyone actually liked Korn at one point in time and go back to your numetal forums, its getting tiresome here.
they were most likely inspired by money to promote and game that has few to no unique qualities, in hopes of giving it one, simple as that.

It seems as though I'm not the first one to be accused of not liking Korn. It's true, I don't. (Just like Gaucho) I never did. I am not boycotting the game as much as just making a simple decision not to purchase the game because I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.....like supporting artist's who aren't in it for just the paycheck. If you want to discuss ridiculous, how about changing your music style totally to adjust to mainstream? There no better than the Nickelback's of the recording industry.

I don't like KoRn either, I never said I did. But I'm excited to try Haze, and the fact that people are so down on KoRn for no real good reason doesn't make sense. And boycotting the game because of KoRn is stupid. But if you have no interest in the game just because it's not your style or whatever, then fine, whatever. There will be a demo tomorrow to try, and that's what will make me decide if I'm buying it, not because a band I don't like got asked to make a song about it.

I'm glad I was lucky enough to see korn back when they were made of just FIVE original members and not some wacky back up band. the korn I see now is not the korn I like. it seems like they're using korn to get this game to sell.. maybe because ubisoft doesn't think it can on it's own?

I saw them a few years back (free tickets) and I was able to make my way sidestage for most of the show.....they have a band playing behind a curtain!? Whats with that? Very lack-luster performance...and yes, SUPPORT INDEPENDENT ARTISTS!
