GTA. Truth is MGS isn't even a household name. It might still make 3 mill sooner of later.

Happy for COD4. If COD5 does release, I hope its not WWII based. PLEASE!!!
I agree that GTA IV will be the next 3 milli seller. However, I disagree with the comment about MGS4.
I believe that MGS is a household name. MGS4 will be big. Sony knows it, Konami knows it, and hopefully it will be great as the hype it has. People can count out MGS4 but I think it will be a strong contender for GOTY against GTA IV and GoW2. Even w/ that said, so far my choice is GTA IV.

Oh MGS will be brilliant for sure, but household name it isn't. Every other kid wants to own it and many parents have heard of Grand Theft Auto, although not for the same reason. Most of my friends (albeit not PS3 owners) have never heard of Solid Snake.

I'm as big of a MGS fan as you'll find, but it's clearly GTA. Couple month head start, and it appeals to a much larger crowd.

I wouldn't say COD4 is the best game this generation, but it definitely is an amazing game. Hands-down GTA4 will be the next game to reach 3 million sales, though I wouldn't count MGS4 out of the running either.

Just goes to show how gamers respond to good games no matter the platform. I just hope naughty dog, insomniac, ans criterion achieve this feat as well with their own offerings. Start buying games PS3 owners!!

Great to see a game selling so well on the ps3. Motorstorm doesn't really count since it was bundled with the ps3 for such a long time and they include the bundled game as "sold". Anyway COD4 is such a great game that it has set a new standard for FPS.
I expect Insomniac to be able to at least match th excellence of COD4 but all other developers will have a hard time matching what Infinity Ward has offered us. I wonder if Guerilla went back to the drawing board after seeing the excellent multiplayer of COD4 and that's why their game will probably be delayed. (still expecting it though...looks great)

I hate to say it but I rent through gamefly. I used to buy games but at 60 bucks a pop I can't take chances on games anymore. The games I own do have replay value. COD4, Army of two, GTAIV, Orange box, Resistance. I have played about 20 or 30 games overall and liked most of them.

Well, it's not like Motorstorm sold 3 million copies because 3 million people went out and bought it. Some people did. But that is not the case with most of the sales. Most Motorstorm copies were included in the 80 gig PS3 bundle. Click on the green arrow if you agree.

3 mil. Not too shabby.
GTA IV is obviously gonna be the next one to attain the big numbers.
But I think RESISTANCE 2 has a shot at it, too. It already has a huge following, and judging by the teaser trailers, it's gonna be epic.

What more do you need to say but squad-based online play with up to 64 players? It'll be madness, and I hope we get vehicles online this time.

That's a pretty good attachment ratio
12 million PS3 owners, 25% of them bought this game.

I miss playing COD4 since GTA4 arrived. If Rockstar doesn't get their PS3 server issues sorted out I may be getting back to COD4 sooner than I anticipated. I haven't even been able to access the GTA servers yet, heck, I've had to disable my PS3 network connection just to play the GTA4 single player the last few days. I'm curious as to how Rockstar will keep the multiplayer action focused in such a vast environment. Why must I be at work, I should be home fragging all the Sallies on the Internoodle.

Let's not forget that MGS4 will be bundled with 80GB PS3s starting mid-June after the game's launch. Should count for something. That's is how I'll be getting my PS3 (and probably copies of GTA and COD4 too)
