SCEA to Europe: 'We hear what you're saying'
Rubenstein responded by saying that Sony "know[s] that there are a lot of readers coming here from beyond North America. We're in the process of working out how to make sure your needs are addressed. We hear what you're saying." This is a good thing, indeed. More European coverage on the PlayStation.Blog would be excellent, especially if SCEE staff start posting on it themselves. However, we're slightly worried that SCEA seems happy to respond to complaints while SCEE themselves have remained silent. Talk to us, SCEE -- that's all we want.

All we need know, is for SCEE to realise there is a serious problem. However, they have their heads stuck up their arses, or are down the wine bar swigging expensive champagne for having great Euro Ps3 sales, despite doing absolutly naff-all for Euro users.

*Sigh*
At this point, just merge SCEA and SCEE, so that Europeans and Americans can get the same quality.

No thanks We'll just keep our SCEA thanks. You guys can just use them too, we don't want any part of your SCEE failings.

hey Spoony, you do know that many of the great titles have come from the European studios right? Also that it is European sales that are keeping the PS3 afloat? oh, and Home is being developed by the London Studios....
You should really be more careful with the words you use when refering to SCEE

Yeah the London studio is doing fantastic work...8 months behind schedule on Home.
SCEE needs to clean house, it seems like nobody does anything over there. Maybe there are too many languages and laws to deal with in the EU. At any rate, SCEE seems pathetic compared to SCEJ or SCEA.

If Home was being dev'd in America it might have been out by now.

Is that so? But if PS3 was to rely on America, lets just say, there wouldn't be much of a PS3 to play Home on. It would have failed yonks ago ¬_¬

Once again, I dig my ps3 and I'm a HUGE sony supporter. In all I believe their machine is way more muscle than the 360 but its this "we hear you" stuff getting a bit old. I mean, they we hear you on in-game xmb, home, and other GAME related things that their GAMING machine is lacking.
Yet those things we are keep in the dark on. I'm grateful my PS3 does more things than just gaming but I bought it mainly as a gaming console, everything else is add-on cool luxury.
So Sony, You heard us, thats great, Now please start doing. if I'm not mistaken you have heard us since SUMMER of 07 on some of these things and we are in the same boat coming in on summer 08.

This don't have anything to do with Xbox at all. As far as the muscle thing has yet to be proven. Don't talk to me about a bunch of announced games that don't have a release date. I have a PS3 also and it gets some play time. But I do like how when there's a problem with Sony inhouse fanboys like to bring the Xbox into I guess to make themselves feel better.

What's so hard about them setting up the exact same thing on http://blog.eu.playstation.com/ ???
I don't really like reading about all the cool stuff Japan gets, just as I'm sure Europeans don't like reading about all the cool stuff that Americans get.. So long as there are different releases and featuers across multiple regions, there ought to be multiple blogs and such for those regions' users.
I feel bad for the Europeans, getting everything late all the time.. Doesn't make sense why it's got to be like that..

The hard part is getting SCEE staff to be as open and INTO blogging, as the SCEA community staff now is. SCEA seems genuinely excited to communicate with their fanbase.

Why cant they just have an international (English-ish speaking) blog.....then everyone's happy.
Im from the UK and I frequent thier blog...I wish we had equally as good communication with SCEE...I mean ThreeSpeech is good and all, but as its just a side project of SCEE employee, it isnt updates as regularly as some people would like.

I know, I used to glance at it once in awhile but 90% of the content there is stale the day it's posted.

You think that is bad, try being an Aussie. We get crapped on for absolutely *everything*. We keep reading "North America gets this" "Europe gets that" never, never, *never hear when we get things at all.

they need to cut their own beurocracy and get serious and start streamlining their efforts. otherwise, if it will take them this long to do anything, they will fall too far behind to do anything that will get them in that 'market leading...whatever' position. so they need to realise they need to cut the bullshit and get to work. maybe they all so rich and snobs they dont realise the trouble that comes from the competition. it didnt exist 10 years ago or so but now is here. and not to do them any favors...

Just close down SCEE and sack David Reeves and let SCEA take Europe under their wing. SCEE are incompetent, SCEA know how to run a business and respect their customers.
