I prefer the older kind like the Star Soldier series. Blazing Lazers being my all-time favorite. Ikaruga is close too.. But I'll take what I can get. Definitely need more of these on the PSN. :(

I too will be buying this to support the cause that PSN needs more of these (Cave and Treasure are the best devs to start with lol)....

Not sure how I feel about the graphics. They seem to be a little too soft and "glowy" for lack of a better word. The game sounds awesome otherwise, but the graphics might actually hurt my eyes playing long enough (I'd have to see video not stills, I guess)

I'm not a fan of bloom either, but stylistically it's brilliant. The blurry kind of look and sepia tones make it look like a flashback. This could be the only game that I'd let bloom slip in and not be annoyed about it.

yeah one of the biggest annoyances of next-gen revamps is the terrible 3d collision detection. hopefully this doesn't suffer from the problem, cuz 1942 is awesome!

this is a definite first day buy for me. i absolutely love scrolling shumps. the high res graphics and animations will only make it that much sweeter. 1942 ftw!

And since it's from Crapcom, you'll have a 10 minute 1.5 GB install before you actually can download the game :P
