Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm features 25 characters, three-man tag teams
Naruto has been the talk of the town -- well, at least the town comprised of the "video game community." Namco Bandai's PS3-exclusive fighter looks like no other anime game out there, but it wants to offer more than just pretty looks.
Fights will now take place on "multi-dimensional" battle grounds, each with unique characteristics. Like in the PSP Ultimate Ninja Heroes games, players can choose up to three characters for tag-team opportunities. The story mode will feature a total of one hundred missions, reliving the events up to the Sasuke Retrieval arc.
The game supports up to two players and is planned for a Q4 release later this year. With 25 "fully transformable warriors" featured in Storm, we're certain that this is the Naruto game fans have been dreaming about. Check out direct-feed high-def screenshots in our new gallery:

Gosh, are those REALLY the graphics?
I've never watched Naruto and find it annoying but this game is freaking amazing from a graphical standpoint!
We need all the fantastic exclusives we can get to ward off the annoying 360 fanboys.

I wouldn't say it's impossible. It would be nice to see a real gameplay vid. But look at Valkyria Chronicles! It looks pretty good, though not as sharp as Naruto, but still pretty good. If it's CyberConnect that's behind this, they'll probably be able to achieve what they want or hit target pretty close. Afterall, they've been doing anime/manga games for quite a while.

I bought it a couple of hours ago, like around 8 pm at a local GameStop. It was also at Best Buy, I decided to go ahead and buy the blu-ray version just to have a physical copy. I was surprised they were selling it early, I thought it wasn't out until tomorrow.

Yeah, it looks good. The style.. (everything) fits better than in Rise of a Ninja for the 360. The only way this could have been beaten was if Rise of a Ninja didn't use cel-shaded characters, but realistically rendered characters that fit the excellently realistic scenery better. Basically, Rise of a Ninja had excellent scenary (Far better than this game in my opinion) but average cel-shaded characters which didn't fit the game in my opinion. plus, they could have not used parts of the anime to tell the story (I.E. the anime clips) and instead used the 3d rendered characters.
