While unlikely, Gran Turismo designer Kazunori Yamauchi talked about the possibility of the GT series moving to other platforms. Speaking to German site derStandard [translated by develop] he said: "It is very, very improbable that GT will comes out on another consoles [sic] ... But perhaps it comes to the PC. Particularly [for] the Chinese market."We're pretty certain the coffers at Sony will keep the Polyphony team well-fed, and the incredible sales of GT, particularly in Europe, give little reason for Sony to make a non-PS3 version of the game. However, do these sales make up for the skyrocketing costs of development? According to Yamauchi, the development of GT5 cost fifty times more than the the very first PS1 GT. Perhaps a PC GT isn't such nonsense ...

I hope not, that'll suck, but if it helps there sales, and they reinvest the money into making bigger and better version of the game, then I'm all for it.

I doubt they will get much money with a PC version, since it will be pirated from day 1. It will only use up precious development time and reduce sales from the PS3 version.

As long as it doesn't go to the Xbox I'm fine with it.

Whats so bad about it being on PC or Xbox? If GT5 really is a good game then wouldn't you want the creators to turn a nice profit on it? I don't see why console fanboys are so willing to bend over for exclusives when it doesn't even affect them

All Sony ever talks about is GT and Metal Gear they will never let GT go to anything but Playstations, they need it.

Don't have the money to spend on a high-end PC so PS3 version it is for me. The advantage with the PC version would be a cheaper racing wheel but you can't match the quality of the official GT racing wheel by Logitech.

yeah, in an age where software moves the hardware, I dont see losing an exclusive as being the wisest decision as far as Sony goes. Of course the extra money could be great for the developer. It all boils down to how well the platform company keeps the software company happy.

@ScottH: I'd rather play it at a higher resolution than 1080p on my PC thanks.
@Dehshizknight: Logitech GT wheels work on PC too...

I would think that Polyphony would already be getting enough money from Prologue and they know that everyone getting Prologue will buy the actual GT5. So why dilute the GT brand and release it for PC? The PS3 platform is doing just fine.
