That is to say, there's no "Jedi" and "Dark Side" choices -- everything is amoral and ambiguous. Two sides to every story. Speaking of story, the main character, Lex, is a half-breed of two social factions that make up the world. The actions he takes through the game, like meandering around on a side quest, will actually affect the flow of the main storyline.
Since you're a half-breed, you have two "personas". One during the day, which gives you brute strength to break scenery and manipulate machinery, and another at night that gives you agile movement and a different fighting style. These two personas will be key in opening up new areas to explore, so we're sure they'll come to light later on. Edge of Twilight is due out next year, so we'll keep our ears to the ground so we can hear the approaching stampede of news.

Looking at the screen shots, they are chatting rubbish. The level of minor details is appalling, lets hope it improves closer to launch.

they may have just killed any chance of this game being a hit right there. now when it does drop, its going to be compared to all those games and will probably get ripped if it doesnt live up. i hope it turns out good but i wont get my hopes up, next year is a long ways away.

Aye, it could come under fire from the Fable effect, great game that aimed to be much greater, and in the end the dev just gets shat upon for their failure to deliver, despite the great success that the game itself actually was

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt now since the release date is so far off... and not judge them based on those rather generic and lackluster screen shots. I'd love to play Kratos: The Legacy of Ico - sounds fun.

And does anyone else see the glaring similarities to Zelda: TWILIGHT Princess? Normal, powerful link in the light realm; agile and quick Wolf Link in the darkness? Cmon now.

But maybe this guy will actually rip open his chest to add the hearts of his enemies to his own collection.

Sounds a lot like Primal (the PS2 game) with Jen and her 4 demon forms on their appropriate worlds, switching between them as needed to accomplish certain tasks, and using her "familiar" Scree to access other areas.
Seriously, this game sounds a lot like MANY games. Does that matter? A good game is a good game is a good game. They shouldn't have compared it to those three blockbusters/fan-faves, though. Talk about setting themselves up for a bashing and players up for a disappointment.

Wow, that's a pretty bold statement. It looks like an Action RPG, one of my most loved genres. Lets hope them making such crazy statements is because of how sure they are the game is good.

I remember when the Prince of Persia: the two thrones was being demoed. That was a fully functional demo, and they changed a some major details before it finished. Remember when the dark side made everything look sandy like your one of the monsters? That was a cool feature they dropped. Or the ability to choose which side you were going to be by walking into the fire or avoiding it... took that out. But in the end, it was still a really great game.
Considering this game is a long way from being finished, its too early to expect much of anything.

From the screenshots, it's running on the 360, and we all know what that means for the development process/final PS3 product.
