America will be able to get its hands on Sony's DualShock 3 next week. A new post on the PlayStation.blog reveals which US titles are rumble-ready. It's been a long time coming for rumble fans -- let's just all forget how Sony touted rumble as a "last generation" feature.Future titles will feature a DualShock icon (featured, right) if they are compatible with the new peripheral. That's rather unnecessary, in our book. Why? Because we expect every game from this point forth to rumble when played on the PS3. That's the way it was always meant to be.

Great to hear. My import (from the play-asia 20% discount sale) should be here end of this week. But it is good to know that everyone will be able to enjoy rumble.

I still dont see why its important to some people. The people who thought ps3 sucked because of lack of it is ridiculous. It is ok to have but it didnt make the system any less enjoyable.

I agree, johnny. I still had a blast playing all my games, but rumble is very nice. I only imported mine because it was cheaper than if I bought it in stores (it was $54 including shipping, as opposed to $55+tax)

I don't see the excitement in the rumble either, I imported as well, and i hardly ever use the DS3 controller anyway, I just grew used to the SIXAXXIS... Sure rumble is cool, but im not throwing a hissy fit for the 18 months we went without it

One of the things that it's definitely useful for is the upcoming GT5: Prologue. It was quite difficult to gauge how your car is actually handling without the rumble, cuz everyone got so used to it in GT4.
That being said, I'd probably be playing with the wheels, but still, it's damn important for that =P.
Kinda sucks though, because i have 4 SIXAXIS's... and don't know what to really do with them once I get one or two dualshocks.
... and the logo is pretty stupid. lol just another thing to slap on the back of a game cover to make it look more hideous and irrelevent -_-.

I imported one as soon as they released it in Japan. I love my rumble and playing PS2 games that supported it with the sixaxxis was a letdown. I had to play MSG2 without it. :(

@Dahk: Well one thing I can see it maybe being necessary for (besides GT5:P) is MGS4. Kojima has always done crazy and interesting things with the controllers.

I got mine 3 months ago for $45.
TOTALLY worth it. Makes all the difference in GT5: Prologue.

Not only that game, but a slew of others.
I've been enjoying my sating silver Dual Shock three for about 4 weeks now. It's great. There are a bunch of games that already support teh rumblz. I was actually enjoying Stuntman Ignition last night via teh rumblz. DMC4 is good...and a bunch of others.

So is it compatible with GT5? I didn't see that listed on the original blog posting.

There are rumble options in the EU version of GT5 Prologue, and I imagine they'll leave them in for the Yank release, so yes.

I don't suppose hating to wait matters if you can understand Japanese. Or did you just cuntpaste that from somewhere?
