A recent survey released to Home beta participants asks what they'd like the Home Square to look like. The Square is the area which connects the various parts of Home. It's already received one significant redesign over the life of the beta, and it looks like another one is forthcoming.
The survey offers a number of visual options, from a city center (D), to something a bit more alien (I). Looks like the results of this survey will help the Home team create something that Home users can really get into.
[Thanks, Joe!]
Home looks to get another visual revamp

Im part of the Home Beta, and the place looks great. I took the survey, but they should have asked about connectivity. There are some minor bugs, specially the the new locations. The first world had better connections and fewer bugs than now. Hopefully they will get it fixed

I hope they just make all of them, and have many different locations to go to :).

I agree. It'd be much nicer to create all the locations, and then let people choose where they'd like to set up their Home.

Ok, this is getting nuts. If all that is left in Home is visual revamps, then release the damn product already! I can understand Sony wanting to get Home right, but making tweaks to the "architecture" and visuals of the world is a weak excuse to delay or refuse to offer a more open beta or actual release of the product. I would actually appreciate Home more if they made changes to the world from time to time, I honestly hope that Sony doesn't keep the same visuals once Home is released. If you pop on to Home one day and its an alien theme, or roman theme, or modern, or art decco it would keep it interesting having to explore a new world instead of seeing the same old same old day in and out. What about offering different themed worlds anyways, why should there only be one Home Square anyways?
It is quite obvious the product is done if the biggest thing Sony is worried about is the visuals of the world, how about letting the rest of the PS3 community find out what Home is all about before making grand changes to the design.

A product ... is a good or service that can be bought or sold. Home cannot be bought or sold, so therefore is not a product.
Anyway, I dont get why people are all bent out of shape over Home. Are you really going to hang out in Home? Shouldnt you be playing some games or something? The funny thing is that Sony does not have to produce something like Home, but they are in order to try to compete with another not to be named service. I guess my main point is this: you are not paying for Home so quit your bellyaching and accept that Sony will release Home when it is done.
Frankly, I think they should have spent this time developing software backwards compatibility, XMB feature improvements, and PSN Store development (including movies/tv downloads). Home seems like such a waste of resources, but I could be wrong.

I like [B] from what I can see in the poor image. It looks like a Daniel Libeskind or Frank Gehry creation.
[I] and [J] would also look cool, nice textures.

Come on guys. Spread your wings. Give us Home, we are happy with the current square. Delaying it to change it again will just wind us up even more.

I'm thinking what they'll do is use the setting, at first, that gets the most votes. This will allow them to focus on one setting, and get all the bugs out, in time. Then they can go back and add the other settings, as they work the bugs out of those. I liked 'F' because it's so homey and comforting. I liked 'I' because it looks like it really shows off some rendering power.

they sould have all the city`s from around the world, and have a futuristic transport system with an undergound pod tubes to link them, you would take the pod from the main home square in your home city and would only take 1min to get from london to new york, what u think of that?.
