Europe keeps attempting to play catch-up this week with Blacksite: Area 51, another UE3 game that America received during the gameflood of last year. Release dates are constantly subject to change, so be sure to confirm them before making any rash decisions. Like stepping out the front door.
Your PS3 is region free, don't forget, so don't be afraid to import any of the above titles. Though if we spot you importing Lost from any other country then we'll be forced to give you a clip around the ear for being so stupid. You have been warned.

Played the Lost Planet for a while last night. Very disappointed. Graphics, controls, gameplay. All across the board the thing is lacklustre. Is the offline any better? I was thinking of picking this up before but definitely not now.

Lol that's the reason why I -GENERALLY- don't think a demo does a game justice in terms of attracting gamers to a game.
This is the reason why I think like MGS4 and possibly KZ2 and stuff are better without a demo (since I'm buying it anyway). They hype generated around a game tends to get a game bashed for its difficult and seemingly boring gameplay, especially if it takes a while to get used to.
Although games like Rachet and most recently GoW:CoO are like... THATS IT!? I WANT MORE lol.

You heard it Europeans, go import them titles, and then sue PS3fanboy when your NTSC titles play in black and white on your PAL televisions.
Once again, the joker editors here are clueless idiots, posting editorial they have no idea about.
The facts are thus:
If you have your PS3 connected via HDMI, you can import without a problem, as NTSC/PAL is not used for digital connections.
If you connect your PS3 via the multi-AV connector, you NEED to ensure your TV accepts NTSC colourspace inputs before you import your games.
This information if brough to you from someone who has a clue, not some clueless editor.

I purchased a NTSC copy of The Bigs from ebay. I have a pretty old 15 inch tv which I connect to my PS3 through the av cable i got with the PS3. It works fine, and my TV has never been able to run at 60 hz.

Actually, on my imported Yank PS3, PAL games will not play at all in SD. It just shouts 'THIS OUTPUT RESOLUTION IS NOT SUPPORTED' and won't leave the XMB. Sony really needs to allow the choice of PAL/NTSC and 50/60Hz modes in HD to make their machine a truly acceptable region-free box of electric.
It's annoying, considering I basically have to take my HDTV everywhere if I actually want to play it. Downloaded PSX games are especially bad, when downloaded from the EU store they will only play in 50Hz mode, which luckily turns on when I set the display settings to 'Automatic'. Plx tell Sony to give choice!! :(
Even the fucking Wii has 50/60Hz modes!

Just remember when you import games you will not be able to use any downloadable content....ie: you buy a US game and try to download the UK DLC, wont work. You will need a US credit card, address, and access to US PSN.

Lost Planet was a great game, awesome boss battles, great graphics, and the snow setting was a nice change from the usual crap. Seems the ps3 version just is shit though, oh well. I enjoyed the hell out of the game over a year ago :P

I'm afraid that's just not true, guys. They managed to port the game a year late to a superior console and still downgrade the graphics, like some kind of electronic arts game porting machine.

Really? I haven't really been keeping up with the news on this? Last I heard, it was the same on both.
Well, that sucks.

My hopes for the LOST game aren't high. Watch the video for it: insane screen tearing and a nigh unplayable framerate ... in the official goddamn video in which nothing happens. I predict the game would crash altogether if more than three characters appeared on the screen at once...
Still, I'm a big fan of LOST, so I'm hoping the game has been improved since the video was released.

So, it's a direct 1:1 port of the show?

The demo they have for Lost Planet gives the game no justice at all, I looked up videos for it, both single player and multiplayer vids, on the DivX site and I was blown away. Im definately getting it.
Dunno why they made such a sucky demo.
Also Lost Planet will have -every- map ever released for it on pc and 360 version and extras. As well as a bit more campaign with the main guy's sister that the others dont have. Awsome ^.^

I actually played that Lost thing. I've been playing Unreal 3. I had gotten used to smooth graphics, great controls. I played Lost and it was like, whoa, this thing is LOST. Not to mention, okay guys, is not snow done hella better in UT3, a game which has all these amazing environments already? Lost was like a bad ps2 game... not even a good one. Wow, what a letdown-- I hope the 360 version was better, otherwise I can't even imagine why this game exists.
