This year's edition of MLB The Show looks fantastic. Sporting a bevy of features on both PS3 and PSP, The Show looks to be this year's most comprehensive sports game. For example, both the PS3 and PSP version support custom soundtracks, as demonstrated in this new PlayStation.blog post.
The PS3 version in particular has grabbed our interest. Why? It looks absolutely stunning. You'll be able to tell us what you think tomorrow, as a demo launches on the PLAYSTATION Store -- for PS3 and PSP! The full game launches on March 4th.

is the 08 version gonna have a swing stick? (like in the 2k series?)
... or do you have to press a stupid button to still swing?

i won't play this game if there isn't innovation, i don't care how pretty is. pressing a button to swing needs to stay in the "minor leagues" (ie The Bigs) where simple and classic game play is king (think Blitz, the old school NFL game).
seriously though, i'm soooo excited about this, baseball games are the best sports games to play and a sim of this quality has to be worth owning.

Last year was the stick, which was awesome, so i would imagine they would keep it. They also had the option to use the buttons (x i think) if you wanted to.
i dont know if im more excited for the game or the introduction of in game soundtracks (even if it may only be the menu screens)

I loved the old EA baseball games but have been greatly dissappointed with the 2k series lately. I picked up MLB 07 The Show and loved it. Cant wait to get 08. With a name like "The Sh0w" how can it go wrong.

Not having played any games from The Show lineup thus far, I'm glad I'll finally be getting a chance to give one a try. They seem to be much more innovative than the 2K series, which to me seems like almost nothing gets done one.
If the demo is even half as decent as it sounds to be, this will definitely be a must buy for me.

WOW. Makes me want to buy a PS3, just for how beautiful this is looking. Is it a picture of a video game? We can't tell, but we want to find out.
