Have you been too cheap to actually buy Burnout Paradise and have been running off the fumes of the demo the last couple weeks? Well, whether you have or haven't had the chance to play it yet, you should be happy to know that EA is planning to give us a few extra weeks with the demo's online mode.EA originally planned to end the online mode functionality at the beginning of the month, but it's now decided to extend it until Feb. 14. "Seeing how the social online multiplayer gameplay is such a huge part of Burnout Paradise, we've decided to keep the multiplayer demo functionality on for a bit longer," an EA spokesperson told GamesIndustry.biz.
This is certainly a nice gesture on EA's part. Burnout Paradise is truly an amazing game, and we only hope this move serves to get the full retail version in the hands of more gamers.

it beats driving around alone, someone to engage with, 8 people actually, all around the world. team challenges, scores to beat, Plus it adds competition to the scores, in addition to less need for AI.

The online is tons of fun to play with people you know. The chat works well and getting to race around with real people is good stuff.
For me, it also provides more incentive to get a better car in the offline mode to have something better when hopping online.
Even when just jumping on a random freeburn with strangers, which usually end up being huge takedown matches, it can be pretty fun.
But hey, you don't have to like 'em all, right?

Well, that's great and all EA, but as long as this game doesn't have split screen, it wont have a dime from me.

Dunno what part Electronic Arts actually played in this latest Burnout (besides money, ads and annoyance) but the quality from Criterion is still there. Demo'd and bought. Now onto a BLACK sequel, I hope.
