Unfortunately, the process of getting these levels to your system are a bit cumbersome. Provided you have some external USB memory card/stick (the PSP works well in this situation), you'll be able to transfer the files to your system. Be warned, however. You'll have to follow a specific directory layout in order to get this new level onto your machine. Hopefully, a more elegant in-game solution will be made available in the future.

Here is how to install UT3 mods on your PS3.
1. Unzip the file to the root directory of any memory card that is readable by your PS3. It is already in the proper directory structure but, just in case, the path and filename need to be: ps3\savedata\blus30086-modimport\userdata.jam
2. Boot up Unreal Tournament 3 on your PS3
3. Go to the "Community" menu
4. Choose "My Content"
5. Press the [SQUARE] button to "Import Mod"
6. Follow the directions on the screen to import it from your memory device.

Man.... how cool are mods for a PS3 game? And it's Unreal, so you know that people are going to go all out. What I like even better is that it seems like there's practically zero extra work to get them to go onto the PS3 version, just "cook" them into that mode. Fantastic.
Now if *only* they'd allow cross platform play between PC and PS3, I'd already be getting out my credit card.

i don't think it does, the ps3 version runs a bit slower than the pc version to make up for using a pad which means no croos-platform play! sure there will be plenty of people to frag tho! and it supports kb + m if u prefer (like me!) ;)

Y'know, it used to be a no-brainer for me that any multi-platform game with significant user-generated content was a PC purchase. I specifically got the PC version of Orange Box instead of 360 (I didn't have a PS3 at the time) because I expected a bunch of great user maps for e.g. TF2 and Portal to be forthcoming very soon. But if PS3 games are going to start the trend of supporting modified PC content (please please please!), that's a huge black mark against the 360 by comparison. Kudos, Epic, for a well-played move.

It's a pretty good map, for duels or up to like 5-6 max in DM. Looks decent and plays fast. Also the package installed pretty effortlessly, and ANY USB DRIVE works from flash minis to external hard drives even iPods will be recognized in addition to whatever memory stick slots are available. There's been some confusion about that.
To clarify it's really just a map, not an actual mod (if you're keen on the UT community). Mods fall under the category of - Mutators (which slightly alter the gameplay like UTComp, or Relics), Gametypes (ex. CTF, King of the Hill, Elimination, Jailbreak), or Total Conversions (Deathball, Red Orchestra, Air Buccaneers). Then there's things like ChaosUT that don't fall into any one category but really add a lot to the game, like lopping off heads with a battle axe.
All of these things I hope us PS3 users will get to see in UT3.

Someone who actually knows how to mod should get the character models from gears of war into this game. I imagine it shouldnt be too hard since they are running the same engine. The locust look better than the krall.

The install process isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be. If you have winzip or winrar it automatically extracts to the correct folder hierarchy, and then you just grab the main 'PS3' folder it put on your desktop and slap that in the main directory of a USB stick. EASIER than pie.
You could even tell winzip/winrar to unzip TO your USB thing. Even easier. Everyone needs to quit pissing their pants over this small workaround until they get the integrated solution going.

For some odd reason the PS3 isn't recognizing that i have any data on my flash drive. If i choose to "display" whats on the flash it says 0kb of info, it i can swap through the correct heirarchy, from PS3 to savedata, etc, but instead of displaying userdata.jam at the end i get "no data"...but everything seems to be correct when i view the file on my computer...any suggestions???
