New player-created Folklore revealed
European fans of Folklore were asked to draw new creatures for Game Republic's PS3 adventure. The Malion emerged victorious, and will appear in a future downloadable expansion for the game. The Malion is certainly far more attractive than the winner of the American contest, the Quasarilli. However, it'll certainly be interesting to see how these two creatures are brought to life by Game Republic and implemented in the game.

I like the other one better. This one just looks like a bad Photoshop of a Camel head and a lion body.

I like this design. It fits well with the style of the game and the Folk's abilities sound pretty cool. I tried drawing up a Folk but it was so bad that I didn't even submit it.

the whole user made folk thing would work a hell of a lot better if this was an mmorpg or something, or a game like oblivion when you can constantly expand it and have a better time with it, with the new folk, all you get is different enemie's not any new quests as far as i know.

I'm still waiting for the first Folklore download pack to hit the U.S. store. At least 2 were made as far as I know and they've been out for months in Japan. Folklore was released in Oct for the U.S. I think 3 months is more than enough time to make those packs available to North America.

"The Malion is certainly far more attractive than the winner of the American contest, the Quasarilli." Yoon. Take a philosophy class. You cannot be a "writer" and make unqualified statements like that. You have to say why. Say I liked the American one better, because it was more unique, more spritish, more fairy-like than this, which is your typical Greek mythology type of physique with some mold thrown in. See? I gave a reason why mine's better. Now justify your statement and explain why/how your preference is "Certainly Far More Attractive"-- you've got 4 reasons. Why is it certainly? As if it's SO obvious? Why far more? Why not just a little more? And who are you, that you can make statements for everyone without justifying them? See? Writing can be interesting when it's done well. Now let's see you push some buttons.
