Square Enix has unveiled its lineup for their annual Jump Festa event and among the sea of trailers and playable games is yet another lovely video of Final Fantasy XIII -- not just the game, but advertised is the entire Fabula Nova Crystallis series. We don't know if this "new" trailer is going to be a remixed version of what was shown behind closed doors at the Tokyo Game Show or not, because this one is also going to be shown behind closed doors. If it's all new footage, that'd be grand, but we just won't know. Hopefully someday Square Enix will allow the general public to see how their titles are progressing, but until then, we'll just keep you up to date on potential videos that may or may not get leaked.

final fantasy versus 13 is from the creators of kingdom hearts and will play like kingdom hearts. rather than just being an rpg, it's an action rpg. disney characters and little boys vs androgenous boys and adults. i go with the latter, though both sound creepy if you don't know the context.

Anybody want to comment on when FFXIII and FFXIII Versus will be out? My guess is 2009...
And don't forget that lame delay between Japan and NA version releases. FFVII for the PSP still doesn't even have a NA release date for 2008, and it's been a great seller in Japan in 2007.

Vague though it be, but I remember the ONE poster put out for FFXII. It had some buildings with an huge arching bridge... ...and.... that's it. I'm sure the creators had something to say about it, but there where no pictures of the characters. Nothing. As the years rolled by, a few pics showed up, but I don't recall any videos in the 4+ year wait. When they finally got around to prep for release. An Explosion of pics flooded all the Japanese magazines with a short trailer to entice. Remember the video came out maybe 4~6 months before it finally was sold in japan.
Don't expect any difference in that policy and wait till 2010 when another video pops up. If they ran into the same problems like 12, adding the jump up to a new system, maybe by then we'll be getting a timed release with 12 in '11 with a 360 run up later that year.
You all know this horrible possibility is possible with the rampaging costs in making any game now. It's good business policy to have one for the American market at the very least.

That was released about 4 years ago, yeah. But FF12 was also delayed 2 years for various reasons (Company growing pains, drastic changes in the core FF team).
The game is much larger in scope, it's a sure bet-- but SE also have larger teams and better tools at their disposal than they did in the PS2 era. If we're to believe that SE began production on FF13 before the PS3 came out, there's no reason not to believe that the game will come out some time next year.

I love 360, but I still think PS2-3 has the best JRPG lineup out there.
I haven't purchased a PS3 just yet because I'm waiting for this and Home but I really want to see some real-time!!
