It's a funny fact that PS3 games seem prone to delays more than any other console currently available, so we thought it would be nice to bring your attention to something that lists the most notorious delays. In addition to listing the delays, there's an explanation by
GamesRadar why each game has been pushed back. It's an interesting read, but if you're too lazy to find out, the following games are mentioned:
- Fatal Inertia
- The Orange Box
- Unreal Tournament 3
- Home
- Haze
- Metal Gear Solid 4
With the exception of the "who-cares" title
Fatal Inertia, we'd agree that those games have made us groan upon delay announcements. The really weird part is most of the titles above are touted in some form as "PS3 Exclusive". Hopefully the issues with the PS3 melt away next year, or people really will start calling it the DelayStation outside of the intertubes.

Was there really any point in reminding us of this?

Home isn't a game.
It's an advertising hub.

@ The author:
Please make a couple of distinctions there: UT3 was NOT delayed in the US, only Europe. MGS4 had never been given the exact 2008 date until now, so it's hardly a delay.
Oh, and Home is not even a game.

I believe the author was referring to the trailer that said the game would be out in 2007...

I downloaded a video of David Doak of free radical from the PSN and he said they want to be "making the shooter that people think of when they think of ps3." and that it will be "out in november 2007, *exclusively* on the playstation 3".
The November part obviously isn't happening anymore tho.
IGN has stopped updating their 360 portion of the Haze site since May, whilte the PS3 protion is updated regularly, Oct 31st being the last update where Free Radical gave a public test of the game on the PS3.
I don't really know how much more proof you need.

A bit off topic, actually completely off topin but what the hell...
So school and studying has been killing me (the reason I missed the PS3fanboy party monday)so I havent had much time to play my games. Yesterday was Thanksgiving so I went on a gaming binge. Uncharted is frickin sweet, but I was blown away by Call of Duty 4 (I got it for 360 because of LIVE). Although I kinda was thinking about getting it for PS3 considering I would prolly be a GOD at that game on PSN (Sorry but 360 users play a lot more online FPS and as a result are better).
Back on topic (well sorta)...
@5
Yea that dude said he wants to make the premier shooter for the PS3. But they are definitely gonna have their hands full releasing the game next year when Killzone 2 and UT3 will be dropping also and even if it did come out this year would be up againt COD4.
As for exclusivity. I have to still be under the impression that it is a TIMED exclusive for PS3 (same as UT3). Have not heard anything to the contrary.

So is Haze delayed or not?????????
Official Sony PS3 site still has Haze for a Dec. 4th launch in the US, as does best buy. WTF?????
Along the same lines, there has not been an official comment from Ubi/Freee Radical

I've never seen any indication it was a timed exclusive. Haze has been a permanent exclusive to PS3 for ages. the devs have flat out said there is NO 360 version in the works at all.
End of story

You should have got COD4 for the ps3 it's much better, and I play online every night you'll get stomped just as hard on the psn, oh by they way the psn has less lag for the game and less drooped games. Can you hear me now! lol.

i wanted to point out that you forgot GTA IV but, as usual, someone beat me to it. PS3 does have alot of good games out now regardless of these delays but it wouldnt hurt our cause to have these games too though.

Correction: Unreal Tournament 3 is no longer delayed. Mark Reign posted on Epic's forum that UT3 went gold 3 days ago and will arrive to retailers the week of December 10th. This article needs to be updated, like, yesterday.

neither Uncharted nor R&C were delayed at all and they are AWESOME. In fact, Insomniac got R&C out within a year of Resistance and R&C is the coolest platformer I've played yet. I don't see what everyone is complaining about. Some developers have more skillz, some need to get better skillz, and that's that.

Delaystation is pretty much old news now there are so many good games out. All it is is when the original dates were overly-optimistic and I'd rather have a fully-finished game than a half-baked one any day of the year.
