Gamers firing up the incredibly addictive CCG/videogame
Eye of Judgment tonight will find that they have an update waiting for them. Bumping the game version way up to 1.01, this is a mandatory update for anyone who wants to play
EoJ online. Without further ado, here is a list of the official updates:
- Main revised functions (no, we don't know what that means either)
- Reinforcement of COM AI in Battle Arena Mode
- Optimization of network connections for Online Mode
It is great to see that Sony is updating
EoJ already, but they still haven't addressed one of the largest complaints of playing the game online -- the fact that anybody can join your private game while you're waiting for your friend to accept his invite. And really Sony, does the computer need any more help in kicking our asses?
[Thanks Woo!]

I actually only had huge difficulty against the computer in the beginning. Once I figured out a couple simple strategies, I'm going 60/40 vs the computer on expert (and I've only bought 4 booster packs).
The key seems to be to play for the board, not to kill your opponent's creatures. In fact, leave them on the board as long as you can, to give him as little mana as possible, but drop them as close to 1 hitpoint each as you can, so you can take them out one at a time in the end game.

I'm really diggin this game. I wish there was more stat tracking, but otherwise I really like it. I even got the wife involved and we've played a few times.

This game needs alot of little fix-ups. They need to have a *real* lobby where noobs can play against other noobs, etc. They also need password protected rooms so your buddy invites don't evaporate when someone pops into your room and starts a game while you wait.
Good idea, cool tech, confusing execution.

I would absolutely love ANY way to keep private games private... a password protect, just don't display it, making a room invite only... SOMETHING.
Overall though, the online really needs a bit of sprucing up. The UI and options available are really not very helpful.

i'm having a real hard time finding the decks and booster packs in stores.
while this game is obviously best played with the playstation eye, it can be played by itself. i think retailers are extreemly scared of having a bunch of dud product on their shelves. some rule books need to be published and assisting items like score sheets and a hard playing board so these cards can be sold in more venues.

We actually got this a couple of days ago. Monday or Tuesday I think. When I boot up it says v1.01. I can take a pic when I get home from work.

@7: Target and Super Target have decks out the wazoo. I've started a weekly ritual of hitting them up every Sunday night and getting 4 boosters.
You can also order them directly from Hasbro or WotC I think. I've seen pictures on the official Sony forums of people with _cases_ of cards.
