It seems that the European Lair delay truly was outside of Sony's control this time. CVG have confirmed that it is down to the lack of an age rating on the discs, which is a legal requirement for any game being sold. Because of this, Lair will be delayed for an unspecified time until a work-around of some description can be implemented.
We know how much you enjoy hearing about Lair and its numerous delays, so we shall keep you up to date with any developments. But like we always say, there are plenty of other, better, games that are due to be released in the coming weeks. Not to mention the huge number of games released within the last month that are worthy of your time.

Hopefully this underated gem gets the attention it deserves from Europe. This game was laods of fun to play and the control scheme worked fine. Don't bnelieve the negative hype! I beat the first four missions the first time I picked it up. If you like the idea of a unique dogfighting game w/ beautiful graphics then pick up a copy of this game.

I have a feeling that the EU sales will be horrible, with all of these delays and the late release in general any ps3 owner that wanted it could have just imported it. Unless they dont speak english i guess.

Why does Lair need to get bashed everytime it's mentioned? Many people loved it.

Controls are fine. You just need to remember its a living dragon and not an xwing. Btw, you do not need to tilt or shake the sixaxis like a madman. Just relax and all movements would be smooth.

Rent first, but do try it. It's worth a look, no doubt. The bad reviews were written by many who took no time in appreciating or understanding the controls. Like #5 said, go smooth. No need to get crazy and the controls are fine.
My biggest problem were the ridiculous amount of cutscenes in the middle of battle. I understood they were meant to convey information, but nothing is worse than being in the heat of battle to only be "ripped" out and sent into a cutscene!

Lair is constantly getting No.1 rankings in shops here in Japan. People here seem to love it.

I'm glad to hear that people in Japan are giving Lair a chance. Let's hope the same thing happens in Europe. I loved the game and definitely recommend that everyone at least rent it or borrow it from a friend.

I think in the UK people will give it a chance, not sure whether it will be a success though. It's quite a shock to hear that the controls are entirely SixAxis based, which means I for one will be buying when it's down to £20
