European PSN releases for September 20th

Despite being in Tokyo this week we're still able to bring you your weekly PSN updates, even if we cannot access them ourselves. We've seen the US releases already (thanks Ciaran!) so expect an angry post about that later. Here's the full release list.
  • Medevil PS1 game for PS3/PSP (£3.49)
  • Syphon Filter PS1 game for PS3/PSP (£3.49)
  • Loco Roco Cocoreccho full game (£1.99)
  • Jericho trailer (free)
  • Heavenly Sword trailers (free)
Good? Bad? To be honest, we're too numb from lack of sleep to know right now. Games are good, right? So three games can't be bad, even if one is a rerelease of a game that was pulled off the PSN a month or two ago.

1. Bad, frankly. For me at least. I don't want the screensaver I have folding@home and I'm not interested in old games that frankly I wasn't a big fan of in the first place.

The trailer was nothing new really, didn't really show gameplay or anything and I'm not interested in HS as I was really really let down by it.

Oh well, there is always next week... or the week after... or the one after that.

2. There aren't actually any new Heavenly Sword trailers, they were up last week.

3. Where did I miss the US releases for today? Could you provide a link please?

4. im tired of the european ps store. first of all it looks crappy compared to the US store, its not even widescreen. and also, we europeans get stuff late, when will we have the proving ground demo? why cant they give us the sega rally demo the US store got. i hope they improve it

5. once again, LocoRoco

It's just like any other game you download from the psn, you load it up and play.

it is quite different to locoroco psp, but thats not to say it isn't great fun, it's a bit more of a puzzle game. Still bonkers, and still very charming.

6. For a moment, I thought this was the US update. I was like no way! Thought we might not have a demo this week. That would be tragic =(

9. yet again, Europe gets crappy updates....

10. I was really hoping we'd get Pixel Junk Racer, i love it, its just so chaotic at times, but of course until it hits the EU store it cant be purchased :(
Demo's im not fussed about, because at the end of the day you can get it from the US store and it makes no difference, but anything needing purchasing means you have no choice really.

11. You Euro folks could get all the same content as the US at the same time if you would all just adopt US English as your language. Seriously!

The reason why PS store lags the US store is the translations issues.

12. I bought Locoroco from U.S. store, because EU store doesn't accept my CC, paid about almost double. The reason for it being cheaper in Europe might be more picky customers not wanting to shell out that much cash for such a game. I didn't like the game one bit.

13. Actually, on the subject of PSN prices, i thought i'd noticed they were pretty fair, i mean considering the additional taxes in the EU compared to US, and the usual excuse that basically everyone the EU apparently has a couple of acres of money trees or more. I could be wrong, but i think we've had the odd item a little cheaper, but probably just as many slightly more expensive.

£1.99 v's $6.99 is simply unacceptable though, its one thing to try and encourage sales for a product that maybe doesnt have the same appeal in the EU marketplace compared to the US (i have no idea for either!!) but charging about 1.8x more for an identical product, via identical distribution, thats taking the biscuit (or cookie for you yanks).

As i've already said, i really want pixie brum-brums but if they expected me to pay £4 for a $4 game (i think its $3.99) i'll be pi**ed too.

14. I am not sure how many times this has already been mentioned, but in most european countries we use EUROS (€) as currency. If you want to keep using only pounds (I do not have anything against pounts, why not use both ?), then advertise it as the "UK PSN releases", instead of the EUROPEAN PSN releases

Thanks anyway for keeping all of us informed.

15. I wonder when the European PSN will get wallpapers as well. I can access the American PSN to get theirs but it's kinda annoying that the European Store doesnt have them.
