Metal Gear Solid 4 playable at Tokyo Games Show

We have been reliably informed (by Ryan Payton of Kojima Productions) in the latest Kojima Productions podcast that Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Online will be playable at Tokyo Game Show. While not necessarily "news" in itself (not for those of you who won't be able to make it to TGS, at least), it means we'll be able to get you some hands on impressions while we're there. It will be interesting to see how the game plays when one of the game's producers isn't handling the controller.

There will also be a new trailer shown which promises to be a bit spoilerific, so those of you who are saving yourselves for the actual game will have to sit out for a few months while those that care less about the game will know more about the story than you do. How hellish that will be.

You fail miserably at trying to be like that Stolie kid. Although he was just as ignorant as you, he was ignorant enough to make me laugh at his own expense. You, are just trying too hard, and it's really pathetic. May I make a suggestion to everyone on this board? Lets not respond to any other feeble attempts at trolling from these losers. Ignoring is a beautiful thing, unfortunately I have not done it here, but I wanted to get the message across.

Please go play Bioshock and Gears of War on your 360 or PC and drink your lifetime stock of Halo Moutain Dew. I am getting tired of all these flames being tossed back and forth so much that I can't even read real comments about the article anymore.

6. I'm wondering if the bad guy with the hands on his head is Psycho one of the trailers Snake sees the guy kill the some soldiers with what seems to be some mind powers and Snake says "it can't be".

7. Those lucky Jap bastards!!! (For those of you who will say that I am a biggot, I am half-Jap myself) I am Japawiegien or Scandanippion. This game will sell a frackload of PS3's in the land of the rising sun, the United Kingdom of Bush, and Europe.

8. Yeah, I cam definitely preordering this game, Last Remnant, and FFXIII as soon as they are available on Amazon.

9. Haley, you're pretty much right on with your post. That is exactly what I expect to see from PS3FB's impressions, but also exactly what I expect to see from every other website's impressions. Do you honestly expect a Metal Gear game to not have Snake, guns, and be excellent?

10. It was a pointless first post. It is likely that reactions may be positive. But up until it is a potentially huge title that has only been shown in video form. Hands on will actually give some details on how the title has progressed in terms of gameplay. How the camera and controls pan out for example. I am always interested to know such things. I am not even sure what point they were trying to make...

11. @ HaleysComet

Why do you bother coming here if you dislike PS3Fanboy and/or the PS3 so much? Do you believe that by stating your warped juvenile opinions that PS3Fanboy will change the way they report their news? Or that all the PS3Fanboy regular visitors will stop visiting? Are you so arrogant that you believe that anyone actually takes your comments as something more than the ranting of a guy who has a chip on his shoulder?

If the game has all the things you mentioned, what is the problem with them previewing it like that? Should they only preview games that no one has heard of? Or only preview bad games? You act as if them saying that MGS4 is a good game is an almighty sin. Perhaps you do that on purporse, or maybe you're simply incapable of giving constructive critiscm, I'm not really sure. The bloggers on here usually do a decent job with their articles and give their honest opinions on what they're writing about, I don't understand why you have a problem with them doing that.

As for the article...looks like TGS will be another exciting year. :) Both the MS and Sony lineups are looking great - this added news just increasing to the excitement.

12. #2. I just looked at your profile, and the series of comments you make all day long make me want to find you and punch you in the face.

For the rest of you guys + the mods, go see for yourself. If you don't feel like it...this guy advocates "laying off OJ" since he wasn't found guilty (although he lost every dime from the civil suit which found him to be extremely guilty). He also goes off on Joystiq being anti-ms and anti-nintendo, which as anyone with a pair of eyeballs knows, they're pretty fair and unbiased. Need I even mention his trolltastic posts here nearly daily?

Ugh. Some people.

Posted at 5:20PM on Sep 13th 2007 by Popfrogs

13. #15: I normally don't argue with trolls, but OJ did it, plain and simple. If he was truly innocent he would have won the civil suit against his dead wife's family. Stop playing the racist card when you don't even know the facts.

14. @Mr.360 - Only time will tell. I wouldn't care much after pre-ordering mine and play it for half a year (though it is more realistically an entire year), which is the minimum amount of time they would need to cross platform it correctly. I simply like exclusives (even timed ones to an extent) because they focus on a single platform at a time, which is something you don't see much anymore when profit is all a lot of developers care about. MGS got big on the PSs and it will have a grand finale here as well.

Btw, does anyone know how long before the game gets released does Gamestop and Amazon (hopefully Amazon since they have free shipping and don't charge tax) start preorder? Same for FFXIII and Last Remnant (I already know this one is cross platform).

15. I wish FFXIII was playable. Damn it Square Enix where is it? Maybe a release date next week, please?

Pssttt... Don't worry about HaleysComet... He's still waiting for his shitbox to come back from the ROD.

Oh and hey HaleysComent, why have you not crashed and burnt yet? Oh wait... I heard a fart?! Guess that was him...

How do they say it...
