Famitsu also reveals that the characters Crescendo and Serenade will be playable and that characters will be able to change outfits. Exciting stuff! We're happy to see the game coming to PS3 and just gives us one more thing to look forward to come 2008. Now, where's that announcement regarding Beautiful Katamari coming back to the PS3? It's only a matter of time.
Eternal Sonata confirmed for PS3 by Famitsu
Everyone's favourite Asian games magazine has revealed that yesterday's "accidental" site update was, in fact, correct. Eternal Sonata of the Spotless Mind will be coming to the PS3 in the Spring of 2008. We're not surprised. When Namco Bandai themselves edit their site to say that one of their games is headed to the PS3, it's pretty safe to assume it's true.
Famitsu also reveals that the characters Crescendo and Serenade will be playable and that characters will be able to change outfits. Exciting stuff! You are wrong at least from my pov. I wanted to play this game but it is for 360 and it is the only game i want to play on it right now so i didnt get to play it. Now there is one less reason for me to get a 360 and I can't wait for it on the PS3.

Rofl, i find it funny how this game was meant to be the game that would reach out the the Japanese Audience for the 360, but it ends up coming on the PS3.

#2 If you can find anywhere on PS3Fanboy where this was said you'd have a valid arguement. What people say on Gamefaqs, or Gamespot, or any other forum besides PS3Fanboy is them. Still doesn't change the fact that Eternal Sonata isn't getting stellar reviews, but as far as Japan goes it has a wider audience instead of the small 360. By the time the game his U.S. Soil is will have sold what it can on the 360. That isn't to say it not going to sell for PS3, but the bulk of it's sales on PS3 will be from Japan.

It is a valid argument. As long as you don't stop with one group of fanboys.

I can honestly say that I was jealous of the 360 owners because they were getting this game. Now i'm not jealous anymore! Yaaaay!
Ahem, ho-hum reviews aside I am buying the game when it hits the PS3. Why? for the music alone and i've seen too much of the games story and play time to think that I will ever think it sucks.
I've been through FF: Mystic quest and Wild Arms 2. I know crappy RPG's when I play them.

as much as we are excited about the news... but we are getting it only because :
A. it got bad reviews and did crap in the states.
B. Namco thought it will do well in states since it didnt do well in japan and MS's money wouldve covered it.
C. Timed exclusive and we are basically getting the shortend of the stick from namco since this will be a ported game and reviewers will give this game even lower reviews and bitch about how the graphics suck, the framerates suck etc.

Moron... err, I mean WiseGuy: I've been jealous of the 360 for a while now since it has two interesting-looking jrpgs, Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata, especially since my girlfriend and I bought a PS3 for the express purpose of playing next-gen jrpgs. I've held off on getting a 360 mainly due to the various reliability issues (I'm waiting to see if the new HDMI-equipped premiums hold together decently), so I've been more than a little irked that the ps3 has no decent jrpgs, even though the playstation has always been THE place to get the best.
I believe I've posted my above sentiments before, possibly often enough on every story about jrpgs coming eventually to the ps3 that people are probably sick of it. And yet you jump in with your typical fanboy drivel, assuming we're all the same. No. There's stupid fanboys all around, trust me, I nearly roasted out some idiots (including a moderator) on ps3forums this morning.
It does remind me of the story that the 360 version of Rock Band will have a wired controller, but the ps3 will have a wireless one. Cue endless comments on how wired is somehow now better, with the occasional "the pros use guitars with wires, so can we" despite the fact that pros use wireless now too, and wireless controllers were totally awesome when Guitar Hero 2 came to the 360.

It's the same for 360 fans. I read the comments on UT3 and Haze. The former had comments saying they won't have time to play it with Mass Effect and Halo 3 coming out, and the later had fans saying the 360 didn't need it since they had "thousands" of fps. I read the same about Devil May Cry 4, Assassin's Creed, and Resident Evil 5 when 360 applauded the game only after they found it coming to the 360 as well.
My point: Don't point out these things unless you don't do it (I'm trying to refrain from using a Bible verse), you will just be a hypocrite.

Ummm I think I clearly said FANBOYS not "PS3 owners"... so unless you're an annoying, condescending, fanboyish A#@.... I don't think it pertains to EVERYONE!! Only to "you" now that you've proven yourself MORON!!

Am I the only person that thinks this game is gonna suck (I didnt read any of the previous posts)? Afterall what is the most important ingredient in an rpg? STORYLINE!! A composer is in a coma? You gotta be kidding me, I dont care. Let the poor bastard sleep.

Adrew Yoon,
I know you warned me about my language and I have been keeping it in check. I apologize for calling that guy Stoli a "Jackass". But come on, have you read his posts? He deserves it.

Hmm, now my choice is, buy it next week for my Xbox 360 or wait til spring for the PS3 version...
Given the fact I've had the RROD once already, I think I might be able to wait a little longer.

No, you're not the only with very low expectations of this game. I am happy that it's coming to the PS3 now, however, since the 360 owner I worked with kept rubbing it in my face. Now maybe he'll believe me when I say "I. Don't. Care."
I've been wrong before (I actually approached Grandia with very low expecations) and I honestly hope that is the case here. I don't want anyone feeling like they've wasted their money, regardless of thier system of choice.
