While the 360 gets their white dove action on September 5th (in Europe, 14th), the PS3 has to wait until the end of September, slated now for the 25th with a vague October listing for Europe. Still, we should be getting a demo of the title over the PS Store soon, right? With all these delays, it'd be silly not to have that demo up before the game hits. Otherwise, we just might lose interest. Probably not, though, since this game looks pretty slick.

The demo on the 360 wasn't too bad, but you'll be cursing his slippery ass for sliding over the top of what ever you were about to try and take cover behind... took a while to get used to that whole setup. Not sure if it's the sort of action that will be fun for more than a few hours, but I admit that I was pleasantly surprised by how good it actually is.

The official website says that the playable demo is "exclusively for Xbox 360." Shame. I'd love to try a demo of this. I'm still on the fence over whether or not I'd like to get it, and a demo would really help.

THis title is a rental for me. THe multi player doesn't even look fun as everyone has health meters and takes a bunch of shots point blank to take down.

Haven't seen much realtime gameplay on this one. Smells like that Matrix game on the Xbox...you know, the REALLY SHITTY Matrix game. I hope it isn't the case, but I think I'm tired of the whole "Max Payne" style of games. I'm sure this will be diffrent in its own way, but the stills kinda remind me of painkillers of old...

If its gonna be held back like that, I'd rather just wait a lil more and get Haze, which seems like a much better shooter. I still have Max Payne series on PS2 so I don't really need this.

I think for fanboys, maybe the excitement for this isn't all that much in the face of such promising comings.
Maybe also the makers of this have their eye on the amazing fps' coming (and the renewed interest-- is it my bad or did Resistance create a whole new group of people willing to buy/try fps'? Do ps3fanboys now want them as bad as 360'ers?) and they are using that information to really make this a better title than it might have been, maybe they're tweaking it?
People mentioned the Max Payne thing, and Stranglehold is going to have to differentiate itself somehow from the great things coming, like Halo, Unreal, Timeshift, Haze, etc. But timeshift has slo-mo, Halo is not achievable, Unreal has loads of experience and expectation and diversity, and Haze is (for now) ps3-exclusive...
Why am I gonna choose this, over any of those?
Story? Controls? Graphics? Expectation? Sound? Gameplay?
We're expecting it to be better than a "movie-videogame"... but isn't it better than any of the competition, in any area at all?
I dunno.
