For those unfamiliar, the point of the game is to move and rotate gems to form groups of the same color. By destroying gems of the same color, players will send counter gems on their opponents. In Tetris-fashion, when the screen fills up to the top, the game is over. The three game modes include:
- X-Mode: Classic Puzzle Fighter
- Y-Mode: Gems automatically break when three or more gems of the same color line up in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
- Z-Mode: Players move a 2x2 cursor around the screen rotating the positions of the highlighted gems; more gems are added from below, moving all the current gems toward the top.

I'm thinking about downloading this one even though I already bought the 360 version. The controls are just impossible on the 360's crappy dpad. It just doesn't feel right. And it'll definitely feel *just right* on the sixaxis

There better be more than a tetris clone and trailers today. Come on Sony, Xbox Live gets showered with demos non stop. Where is the Lair demo? Where is Home beta?
Sony....DEMOS please...not trailers.

Hey puzzle fighter is pretty tight beleive it or not. My wife and I used to duke it out for hours. Yeah, PSN made their money off of ME this month. Now all I have to do is pull myself away from Warhawk...which is easier said than done...

Jason: buy Warhawk...then you'll quit worrying about what's not on the PS Store. You'll also forget about the lack of firmware updates. I know I have. :)

@Showstopper
Whoa, where'd you get Lair?
By the way, decent Store update this week, but I was hoping for either the Skate or Stranglehold demo. Games that end with a year tend not to interest me. Guess there's always next week.

I really hope that these updates will be on the EU store soon. We only got Warhawk today.
There is however a lot of speculation about another update soon after the Community Team Coordinator made this post earlier today

Yet again, Sony are leaving the EU behind. I love this game, but the company seems keen to fail in europe.

It'd be like a special gamer edition of "West Side Story".

Jason - Puzzle Fighter is much more than a "Tetris clone". In my opinion, it really is one of the best action-puzzle games ever made. I still have my PS1 version and still get enjoyment out of it. For anyone that hasn't played it, it's definitely worth checking out. I'll be downloading this as soon as I get a chance. See you all online...

Super Puzzle Fighter 2 was my favorite game on the PSX. Me and a friend played this thing for hour upon hour in those days. Extremely addictive and fun. I'm glad there's an updated version available now. Instant buy!

Am I missing something here? I played a bunch of games with the "scoreboard multiplayer" option, but nothing appears on the scoreboard. What do I need to do to get ranked?
And where is everyone else? I have yet to see a single game listed in the lobby, and when I create my own game I have to wait for about five minutes before someone joins. Am I just suffering from early-adopter-itis here?

Tekken Online = worst online service ever. As a Tekken fan, I'm still happy to have it, but it's extremely buggy, random, unorganized, confusing, poorly constructed, and most of the time the gameplay does NOT run smoothly. Air combos are really hard to work well with, etc. (when will this issue ever be eliminated in fighting games?). 10 bucks? Something this poor should be free. Hell, they should pay US for having to deal with such a shitty service.
