Given that the majority of people over here (UK) who will be playing FIFA on the PS3 won't even know what 60fps is, I'd say this is a minor development. Not a bad one mind you, just minor.

Haven't bought an EA release in years. I guess I would if I felt like buying essentially the same game over and over again. But I like actually like to play innovative games instead.

Haven't bought a FIFA game since '06 on the PS2 so I might get this one. But only if it has all of the league teams from around the world like Mexico and others that don't always make it in. Hearing that it isn't crippled definitely puts it out of the avoid at all costs category.

This is a start. But it would have made sense to do this on a your highest selling title instead of this game.

EA admitted that they were green on the PS3, now that they are getting used to it, and developing simultaneously, PS3 users will have the same deserved experience as the 360, what is the problem in that ?

EA is just now doing what they should have all alone, damn straight we are happy about that. Again, it never ceases to amaze me why you and the other 360 zealots keep jumping the fence over to ps3fanboy blog. If you are so happy in your little 360 microcosm, then why post here.

For someone who stated that they own neither the 360 nor the PS3, you surely are misguided and biased.

Let me explain something to you. The TRUE PS3 fans ARE THE CUSTOMER! And you better be DAMN STRAIGHT we have the right to complain to EA that their games aren't up to standards. So, be it lazy, incompetence, lack of experience, lack of development tools, or lack of time. It's our choice to boycott or not buy or accuse EA in order to GET THEIR ATTENTION!

How else do we get them to listen and reply with a statement? The PS3 gamers put them on the SPOT. And that's the way it should be. You're just mad that we actually GOT EA's attention and actually is addressing our concerns. Now why would you be upset about that? Could it be that you always wanted the PS3's version to be substandard? Yeah, that's my take on your position (XBOT!).

Seriously dude, you need to grow up. You don't see PS3 owners in the X360 fanboy forum trolling about the RROD or anything else do you? Why do you think that is? I'm guessing because the majority of people that can afford PS3s are adults, and adults don't troll on forums. The X360 on the other hand is cheap and any kid can get one for his birthday or Christmas.

I'm willing to bet cold, hard cash that the median age of X360 owners is much lower than PS3 owners. Take a look at Xbox Live for example. What do you hear in games? Little kids screaming profanity and racial slurs in every online game.

I know this is a deluxe troll meal and as a rule I don't feed trolls, but this time I had to respond.

amen brother. I had a 360 that took a dump and traded it off for a ps3 about 6 months ago. but two days ago i got the new premium 360 with hdmi port and the additional heat sink that was suppose to fix the rrod problem so i got my fingers crossed. and yes there are mostly little fucking kids that just learned how to say "fuck" and that's all they say over and over on line when playing a game. it is really annoying!!! I did dump my ps3 because it really does seem that ea and evyone else is truly favoring the 360 and the games really are better overall on the 360 when it comes to the graphics and framerates but the ps3 has much better sound and i think the only reason that this is the way it is is because of lazy developers!!! i really hope things change for the ps3 in a year or so but the 360 is the better choice for games at the moment now that they fixed the rrod problem. i just wished it looked as sexy as the ps3 does!!! man the 360 is an ugly machine!!!

Isn't the fact another development team was able to get 60fps prove EA, not Sony, dropped the ball (that's punny) with Madden '08? The PS3 was unfairly given a black eye. This story proves the previous article claims about PS3 hardware limitations were bunk.

The PS3 can do 60fps. The PS3 can support many AI enemies. Period.

You should be ashamed of yourself. We go through months of less than 30 FPS games, choppy framerates and crappy ports and you have the nerve to come in here and call us liar's and hypocrites. The first 60 FPS EA game is a big deal to us. I'll be honest, up until this news I had little hope left for EA but they are getting better and they deserve some praise for that.

This also shows that the PS3 isn't inferior to the 360 like many thought when Madden was only 30FPS on the PS3.

It's capable of doing it, and its up to the devs. But its no surprise that the PS3 is running on 60FPS. After all, its the main development console.

You gues really neeed to be fair to EA. EA has been making madden games for a full year longer then the PS3 version.. and this even reveals the biggest reason they couldn't do it. TIME! They HAD to ship Maden 08 on Aghust 18th. There was no choice/ Remember they had to build their engine for the PS3 launch.

So for god sakes, before you go and call these people who work 10+ hours a day and weekends, lazy, have just a tiny bit of empathy.
