Here's a new game trailer for us to enjoy today -- Prototype, set for release on the PS3, 360, and PC at some point next year. What can we say? The game looks violent and the protagonist has a costume design frighteningly close to Assassin's Creed. We aren't complaining, but the game seeks to mesh the two styles of gameplay: sandbox, killing, and ... well, actually, that's about standard fare for these types of games. Regardless, it looks impressive so we'll stew in our anticipation and keep you up to date as more details emerge!

Kind of weird two anti super hero games... this and inFamous show up. Looks good but how they'll handle the moves they show in the trailer in realtime is beyond me.

-Well at the very end of the trailer, it showed the 360 logo as well as the PS logo, so my assumption would be that it is indeed going to both platforms. PS3fanboy Warhawk room would be fun...

My PC definitely can't compete with my PS3 or with the 360, nor did I mean to imply that it could. My point was, why should I purchase a 360 when my PC (though not as robust) can play most of the games that are on 360 anyway. And when I do upgrade, which I will soon, my PC will outperform the 360 by far.
Furthermore, don't take me so seriously; my comment was meant to be humorous :o)

PC gaming is dead. This generation of consoles really put the nail in the coffin. When you can sit on the couch and play with 4 friends (Warhawk) in HD on a nice television, it smokes the whole "pc experience".
Also you can step off the upgrade treadmill for a few years. I got tired of updating drivers, updating video cards, adding ram, adding hd storage...it never ends. God forbid Vista ever sees the light of day on my PC.
PC gamers really don't have much to look forward to anymore. There are a very, very small number of "big titles" that hit every year, and that's it. C&C3 was the big one for this year. Next year, who knows? Maybe another WoW game? Lame selection.

Are you kidding me? You apparently haven't seen any videos of Crysis! I also doubt you have played Company of Heroes or SupCom. The Witcher is also coming out this year. There's plenty in the PC arsenal...sure it may be heavy in the RTS and FPS genres, but that doesn't mean that we have little to look forward to.

And PC gaming is supposed to be dead? You can't be serious, you just can't. the PC offers a much better experience than a console, and the games can run better, and there are mods from the community, if the game allows it. Right now, the only game that will have mods, and only on PS3 at this point, is UT3. But on PC, Oblivion, UT3, C&C3, probably Gears and Bioshock, will have mods. And mods rock. You can't deny it (If you do I suggest you go take a tour in a nice room with white cushions on the floor, walls and ceiling.)

The reason anyone would want to play a game on a PC mainly is due to graphical capabilities. The resolutions is so much deeper along with extreme frame rates. Now ofcourse the real problem with PC gaming is the cost for say an Crossfire or SLi gaming rig to push the graphics to options to max options while running 1920x1200 @ 75+hz 120fps. Thats the difference and a costly difference it is. Other than that...not much.

PC gaming is cool for PC enthusiasts who like or just have the money to constantly upgrade their PC's. As far as gaming, I hate hoping that my system will run a game good enough to get the full experience. PC games push the envelope and the wallet. I know when I put a game into my PS3 I'm getting the same experience as everyone else, and I only have to buy it once. Consoles FTW.
