The delay of Grand Theft Auto IV has some people celebrating. Namely, publishers of other high-profile games. With GTA IV out of the way, an Activision representative stated that Call of Duty 4 "is likely to be the number one product on the PS3."
In addition, IGN GamerMetrics reports shows that other PS3 games will greatly benefit from the loss of Rockstar's hotly anticipated game. "Sony's Heavenly Sword, Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and Free Radical's Haze are all also expected to greatly benefit this holiday season." Ubisoft's Assassin Creed will also gain sales due to the lack of GTA.
Even without GTA this holiday season, we're realizing that we won't have enough time (or money!) to spend on all of these high-profile titles. Whatever game ends up being the "victor" of this year's holiday battle, it appears that all gamers win.
[Thanks, Josh D.!]

i used to work for Activision. god how i hate them.
i guess their right, considering that Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword, Folklore, and Little Big Planet (PSN debut this fall), are looking to be true stinkers (rolls eyes) /sarcasm.
please, get off it, Activision. Call of Duty 4 will be a fine game for it's audience, i'm sure, but to deny the buzz from the 1st and 2nd party exclusive camp is stupid.

I"ll be the judge of that.
If it is going to be so great, why did you shaft us on the beta you gave to the 360?

Yea right there are plenty of other titles to look forward to besides COD4. If you are a real fan of the series you will already be able to tell that they are using lots of old sounds / textures / tricks from previous games with some new graphics and features and thats about it. The gameplay looks horribly unrealistic and run and gun rambos will be loving this title. If you want a real combat title this year Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway is the ticket.

Haze better then COD4???
What ever floats your boat, but I'll make you a friendly little wager right here & now. Infinity Ward's COD4 will smoke Haze in sales. I know I'm not the only one who feels COD4 is by and far the superior title, but we'll see when the sales numbers come out once they're both released.

Looks to be way better than COD3, and the multiplayer looks great, but for most titles what i'm interested in is the single player campaign - and tbh, Haze's single player campaign looks way more interesting.

I'd of liked COD4 to return to the series' roots(I don't mean WWII but how it played). The first COD was by far the best in the series, the series was seriously diluted when they brought it over to the consoles.

i think they mean that COD is a more established franchise, while Heavenly Sword and Drake's Fortune may garner Game of the Year Status, they won't rake in as many sales as COD 4. Haze...doesn't look interesting to me sorry. it may be all that yellow armor.
from a marketing standpoint i think Halo3 will be > COD 4. wrong forum i know, but Activision started it! ;)

They are using the 360 for beta testing because, of Live being a more stable platform and the ease of it, and the 360 peforms a lot better with multiplatform games, the 360 is always used as the demo unit for a multiplatform title.

OK, enough with the fanboy crap already geez.
@Tbone4690:
This is NOT true.
It has nothing to do with Live being a more stable system or it performing better with Multi-platform games.
It has everything to do with Direct X and the developers being too lazy. It is simply EASIER to do on the 360 because everybody is taught Direct X when they go to Game design school. THAT is true =D
