The press release is in and we can now reveal the lineup for today's US PSN Store update. While we're not entirely sure when the update will take place, you can look forward to seeing the following filling your hard drive at some point later today:
- Blast Factor: Advanced Research expansion ($4.99)
- Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 demo (free)
- The Darkness demo (free)
- Michael Clayton movie trailer (free)
- Get Smart movie trailer (free)
- The Game Plan movie trailer (free)
- [Update: Super Rub-a-Dub has dropped in price to a mere $2.99!]
Well what do you know. We were
right. We look forward to tucking into the delights of
Advanced Research later today. Not to mention the two demos - both of which are available right now on the EU PSN Store, but nevermind. This feels like a much more substantial update than we've seen in Europe today. You guys should be very pleased.

completly off topic but i heard a rumor that the latest EGM reviewed Blue Dragon and Lair and gave them both 5.5-6.5 mediocre reviews. Persona 3 on the other hand recieved GOTM with 8.5-9.5 ratings. can anyone confirm this??

I'm looking forward to a Lair demo more than ever. May be a tipping point as to whether I buy it at release or wait.

Nice now I can try both games. I hope next week we will get more demos plus new games. If there could also be some PS1 games that would also be great.

Pretty soon I am going to have to cancel my download every demo policy, there will be too many so I'll have to pick and choose.

Downloaded the Darkness demo last week from the UK. Why the hell do we have regions on PSN again?
GRAW better be good. The PS2 version sucked.

Not on the US Store yet...no answer as to why...
Downloaded the GRAW 2 Demo from the UK store...
it didn't work the first 100 times...
then after it finally downloaded...it wouldnt install...
at ALL.
so i deleted...and tried to re-download...and its a No-Go. Won't download.
WTF is up?
and why not on the US Store?!

The GRAW2 demo is good; but this is definitely another game that looks to be better on the 360. Didn't notice too much as far as framerate issues, but the overall look is better on the 360. They did some strange stuff, and things we've seen before; pulled random plants from the scenery, the effects in the environment aren't quite as smooth, and the textures aren't as good, most notably in the camo pattern on your fatigues.
It's nothing that stands out as awful or should keep ps3 owners from buying the game if they want it, but it's another average port from what I've seen in the demos for both.
