Last February, THQ offhandedly mentioned that their Red Faction series is one of the six franchises they were working on. Today, during their quarterly earning reports, the head of THQ officially announced the development of a new Red Faction title. No additional details were announced, but considering that the previous two Red Faction titles were on the PS2, it's reasonable to assume that the PS3 will be getting another dose of geo-deformation Total Recall-esque fun. Thank god. Red Faction is one of the best FPS franchises ever created. Far better than the likes of Halo.
Geo-mod with current-gen graphics should be a real treat.

Sweet! It will most likely be on the 360 as well. Red faction 2 was awesome. Agree with Stef. Red fraction is better then halo. It's the destructable enviroment that kicked ass. :)

It will definitely be on the 360. Just think, Saints Row was developed by the same developers that developed Red Faction. Saints Row was canned for PS3. I'm sure that it will be on PS3 though too.

Red Faction was the first FPS game I ever played. It was back in the summer of 2004 on a houseboat. I got my ass kicked because I never played FPS before but it was quite fun.

You obviviously have issues. Just calm down. Companies are looking for money not to screw console makers.
I don't understand why some people have problems with multiplatform games. Hell, give me a game that works on ps3 and 360, that you can play with people cross-console. That would be kickass. It's would double the amount of people playing the game online. It would finally feel like pc gaming.
