Killzone 2 looks great.

LBP looks great as well.

KZ2 doesnt release till 08 by that time i would expect graphics even closer to the cg trailer. LBP is a most by so much artistic control with elements that actually affect the game. nice to see the ps3 is getting some respect for its graphics LBP show it off too. be prepared to have a whole bunch of anime based level design its. OMG NO MORE NARUTO GOD DAMN!!!

No suprises here... I'm sure we will see many more awards given out in Ps3's favor from here on out... Congrats tho for the good work and keep pumping out the quality games, in the end that is what makes a system #1 and if games keep coming out with this high of quality standards I really dont see PS3 ever falling behind again(not that it fell behind, but slow start, you know).

You know, I never knew expressing one's opinion of a subject is considered childish. It takes a bigger man to actually leave a comment that has no childish comment in it. Walking away doesn't solve a problem, it keeps it alive longer. Which isn't a good thing at all. Also, shouldn't you have not commented? I mean in grown up world, when someone is talking to someone else, you don't jump into it like a high school conversation. The comment wasn't even directed towards you.

just seeing how many people went crazy for modding their paint jobs in forza, i expect that the majority of gamers (360 users included) are going to absolutely love the creativity of lbp.

actually the overwhelming majority of positive reviews for lbp cite its creativity. creativity. creativity. (and the physics engine looks cool). give props to the devs for at least approaching gaming from a new perspective.


side note: i dont think kz2 looks that great either but having fully dynamic lighting is pretty cool. if pgr4 had it then... well, nevermind.

Actually I am more impressed with the concept of LBP rather than how great it looks.

We are talking about critics and graphics because thats what the post is about.

If it(the post) was about Sony's broad selection of genres we would talking about how Sony has more than just shooters and racers.

If it was about free online we would talk about how we don't need to pay $60 a year for advertisements.

I still think you don't understand the concept behind the game. Sure, it looks childish, and it's a platformer (traditionally what we associate with Mario, et al), but being able to build levels and upload them into a YouTube type community where you can then hook up with others and play/build/create/rate said levels... this having never been done before, represents a player-centric view of gaming. THAT is why I'm excited about LBP. What you need to do is to realise that games don't have to have violence and tits in them to be good.

I couldnt agree with you more, I don't think alot of xbox and wii fanboys who flame in ps3 forums know much about these games, know why they are important or impressive, or understand the concepts behind them. Sometimes I think they have only seen one trailer in low-res once and had a knee jerk biased reaction to it and are flaming this thread in a response to there disappointment that these games are being recognized with awards and are also exclusive to the console they don't own, and they are seemingly filled with the "all to cool" anti-sony hatred.

LBP is a great example of how PS3 is taking gaming in a new innovative "game 3.0" direction, with the tools in hand, gamers will create and share there own content, thus creating endless playability. This is why this is cool guys? its never been done before, and its being done, in a very cool way indeed.

KZ2 needs to get props for delievering on that infamous trailer they showed 2 years ago. The graphics ARE amazing, and truly "next next gen" or whatever you want to call it. The animations and ragdoll physics were said and reviewed after E3 to be amazing, the lighting, phenomenal, the destructable enviroments (albeit not crysis destructable, but destructable all the same. The game looks great, and I think they are upset that they won't get to play it.

critics are critics because they are good at what they do, they have good judgement and experience and unlike "SOME" they are relatively (arguable with some sites like gametrailers) unbiased. They add interesting perspective and most importantly have played the game, unlike anyone in this thread, and unlike yourself gearmaster of gears and such. I personally take value in their opinions because they bring valuable input into my buying decisions. Your statment here shows that you are a biased GoW MSBOT because you are unwilling to look at "experts" opinions that show sony in a positive light, all you are interested in hearing is that XBOX has more shooters and PS3 has no shooters, the mere idea that PS3 is getting exclusives and positive reviews has driven you to flame-off in a totally non-xbox related forum. good-luck with your frustration when sony gets even more praise this holiday season, when killer titles start pumping out and sony enters a 40Gb PS3 at 399.99 and sales pile like an avalanche overshadowing xbox360 completely and overtake market share, wii overtakes xbox360 as well , and your precious microsoft moneymaker doesnt look so hot anymore. please place that thing under an icepack or else you will become a 50% failure rate statistic.

wow, holy, i just read this guy gearmasters posts in other threads, he sounds manic. Like bizzarely "anti-sony" (because thats whats cool right now) completely over-the-top hostile and completely ignorant on the facts. This guy won't consider any opinion that doesnt coincide with his own derranged nightmare. I think he has a teddybear named sony that he stabs at night while rocking back and fourth. I find his obsession with posting in these threads very disturbing, he needs to get a life, or silkscreen antisony t-shirts with his bloody "sonybear" on the front and sell them to other MSBOTS at a premium. Seems to be enough of them. Hope he has a fun weekend smashing blurays and spending 18 hrs a day posting in playstation forums on topics he knows nothing about. Why does this boy have so much time on his hand? Is his xbox in the shop for the 3rd time? soooo bizzzzare, just so wierd. probably wears xbox360 jammies while stabbbing that poor sonybear. what a freak.

I couldn’t agree with you more.
I’ve been reading ps3fanboy for 4 months now and have noticed quite a few posters on this site, and some really stand out from the norm.
People like gearsmaster aka johnyboy or whoever he is are complete tossers! I have all the consoles and while I can’t stand MS I’m not going to be aggorant and dislike the games I want on their console. Namely Bioshock and Blue Dragon. BUT I don’t go to Xboxfanboy and flame them about how defective the system is… Just not kewl… So here’s to you gearsmaster and all the others that are xbot fanboys… Take you bias comments and stick to the site that you so rightfully deserve. (People like you give Xbox a bad name and its people like you that make others and I dislike your favored console even more)

This looks like a party game like super mario party you don't have to be 4 to enjoy it like Killer says it's just plain fun =D
