What we're talking about today are not unlike those plastic/rubber covers you can put on CDs to prevent them from scratching (we refer to them as Disc Condoms). We're talking about skins for your Sixaxis -- not just skins, but skins that change color with body heat! They retail for a little over $10 and come in a variety of colors, so if you're really OCD about keeping grubby hands off your precious Bluetooth controller, invest in one of these. The strangest part: these Sixaxis skins are officially licensed by Sony. What do you guys think? Worth it, or pass?
[Thanks for the pics, Dustin!]

I would rather download a PSN game than put a rubbery tractionfest on my sixaxis.

To 1. It doesn't make it hot, your hands make it hot. Plus it keeps dirt and grime out of the creases of the handles of your controller. And prevents it from getting sweaty. I love it. It's very nice. Thanks for posting it guys! Thats my 2nd one you guys have posted. (Remember Motorstorm's Giant Enemy Crab race?) You guys hiring any interns?

I've seen those at Gamestop. They come with 10' USB cables, but are 15 instead of 10. Still, it's good for those extra SIXAXIS controllers that don't have their own cables, eh?

i'd rather have it original really, it's not like an ipod where the screen gets scrathed when it in you pocket and then you actually look at the screen and see the scratches, it's black controller

Yeah, even though it may look kind of silly, it's seriously very gross to look at something like my first PS2 controller I ever had back in 2002. That thing is so covered in years of crusty hand goo that I honestly don't want to touch it anymore. It's funny that the thing still works perfectly, but the thing that stops me from using it is the uh... shall we say, "well-loved" look.

@Dustin
Thanks for the tip. One question for you: Who makes them? I could not tell from the pics. I agree that keeping the dirt and grime that tends to accumulate over time is a good thing indeed. Some of my old PS2 controllers are quite cruddy in the small, hard-to-clean creases. Plus the heat reactive aspect sounds cool. I had a t-shirt a long time ago that was made out of heat reactive material, and it was one of my favorites.

You can find these at Wal-Mart for $12.99 I think. I actually noticed these today, before finding this post on the site.
I didn't look long enough to notice if it did come with a 15' long cable, if it does it's worth it. Now, I can play while charging the controller. w00t.

I have one at home and although it feels nice, somehow prevents my hands from even sweating at all, and helps me identify "my" controller when friends are over, it's a bitch trying to get the controller into the Nyko 4-controller charger thing. You have to lift up part of the rubber and hope that it doesn't warp between the time you put it in and the next day when you take it out to play.
I ended up just taking it off, but I might put it back on sometime. Probably when Warhawk comes out. I'm gonna need it.

I have like 4 of these, including one of the older models that do not change color, and I think they are the best accessory out for the PS3 right now. It adds a little more weight to the controller, and it feels soft and comfortable in your hand. The only problem I had was getting it on the controller, that was a pain.
