This simply isn't true - Tekken Dark Resurrection Online is a full game that gets released on August 1st in Japan, and the other stores too I think.

The week might be dry, but this just enables everyone to start saving up for the fall avalanche of games! I will definately be getting Heavenly Sword after playing that short but coolio demo. I gotta feeling Lair is going to be good too. Just can't wait!

Rainbow 6 is still keeping me busy. Not to mention replaying Heavenly Sword demo... many, many times. The games out there now are still entertaining me. Once the middle of August hits, it will be a very busy, and expensive six to nine months... Lair, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, UTIII, Orange Box, ... need I go on. Also, the anticipation for MGS4 will keep me in suspense until its release... Yay PS3!

If I was you I would wait until fall before getting your PS3, thats when the big games are coming out.

But if you get it sooner you will have a month to play some first wave gems like Motorstorm,Resistance and Genji(just kidding Genji sucked)

First and formost, I am a Xbox360 fan. But...after seeing and hearing about Heavenly Sword and Little Big Planet, I had to make the plunged. I went and dropped 500bills on a PS3 yesterday. So far, I am pretty happy and I have played the Heavenly Sword demo a bunch. Love It!!! BUT!!!!! after seeing the limited selection of PSone games in the Store front....all I could think about is WHERE THE HELL IS RETURN FIRE!!! I don't know if you kiddies know what I am talking about, but I'm sure you older folks know. In my opinion, Return Fire was one of the best PSone games back in the day. If they could somehow incorporate online play and release it...that would be the bomb. Of course a full on remake would be awesome as well. Just my two cents...keep on gaming folks...lots of good shit the holiday season. ;)

could've done that BEFORE you bought it. Although Sony really don't own you a thing right now.

Oh, need I mention Sony don't really make games? They license and publish them.

back to the topic, Why is nobody mentioning Uncharted? which I think will be the biggest surprise next few months.

Was any one else a bit disappointed with the Heavenly Sword demo?

There was a bit too much screen tearing for me; although, it could be just the demo. And, the controls felt a bit floaty, like she was shuffling as you were moving her. (I noticed the same in NGS)..

The combat is fast.. but, you cant jump. wtf? I want to be able to jump. It removes a lot of the platforming that is fun in God of War and NGS. Not to mention, initialising attacks with a jump.

The voice acting and animations are truly next gen. though. Incredible stuff.

Yeah I noticed the tearing myself, I guess you gotta make sacrifices to get that 60fps framerate sometimes.

That's my argument with EA sports games. X360 gets 60fps because Microsoft probably lets developers put the ATi chip in tearing mode (vsync off). So far this is the first game on the PS3 that I've seen tear.

@I DeX I: Congrats on your purchase! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying HS too! Now about RETURN FIRE: If I'm right, this was a multiplatform game. So, I'm not too surprised I'm not seeing it in the Sony store - especially since there are no MGS or FF in there - which leads me to suspect that the store only carries games published by Sony. But I'm sure that someday this might change. Particularly when 3rd party developers realise there's money to be had from recycling older product. The question remains IF not WHEN. ...hopefully! kick ass game, that... =)

@humpty & @Popfrogs: I'm not seeing any tearing on my end. Are you guys using an SD or HDTV? =o And as for jumping, you HAVE been able to perform the aerial combos right? For me personally, I'd rather have those than just jumping around like a maniac trying to find the right spot to get to the next part of the level. Call me lame, but sometimes I just can't make those jumps! Frustrates the HELL out of me! =S

Yeah, this sort of thing leaves me wondering whether or not to take the plunge. The game I want come out later (Heavenly Sword being the only exception), with MGS4 until 2008...

..but then, the PS3 is $499 now. I'm so conflicted!

Wait a year or two if you already have a 360. There are very few PS3 exclusives so far, and very many Xbox 360 exclusives. The 360 should hold you over till next summer when you should buy a PS3 if it's making a comeback. ;-)

Yikes, for the 360 fanboys who are saying no good games are coming out this summer... In AUGUST, the PS3 will have:

Lair
Snakeball
EyeCreate
Warhawk

and sure enough many games you'll be able to buy for both your 360 and PS3... So please, tell me what year you saw so many great games coming during the summer. For me, 2007 is simply awesome.

Still cannot wait for Heavenly Sword though!

I just finished Sigma, so I'm going to try and finish up The Darkness. Im still playing All Pro Football too. I should be ok for a couple of weeks. Lair is definitely going to own!
